Mypawfectk9 believes in teaching through choices - good ones are rewarded, the others ignored.

Giving dogs choice and autonomy builds creative, confident and independent learners.

Ones who adapt and respond thoughtfully in situations and are resilient. We’ve been working on some tricks tonight, and my goodness they had to use their brains to figure out how to get the rewards!

Ever thought that dog training should involve cake?

Well I have, so here is Calmness in the Cafe at Ma Baker Cafe at World of Water, Preston New Road, Blackpool

Teaching a settle in a working café with all the distractions, but the environment is controlled - we know who is coming!

*Set number of tickets - means plenty of space!

*It is a closed event, so know one is walking in half way through!

*15 minute change over in between sessions so no chaos around the doorway

Laura Gilmour is there to give you some hints and tips to help with your settle, as well as how to navigate busier environments.

Just don't do it.

As Halloween approaches, you may start to see this silliness on social media.

Please DO NOT dress up your dogs (or like the posts as it just encourages it... let's educate instead!)

Was proud of the Thursday crew tonight!

All your dogs coped well, waiting for the their turn whilst recall games were played.

They are learning calm and disengagement whilst other dogs and humans work! Lots of food and toys were also tests of distraction and they did good!

Homework is always to practice what we do in class in real life, but definitely take your lead skills, toy play and recall out and about this week!!

Have fun and enjoy it!

You can do it!

Thursday Weeton peeps!

We are in the big hall tonight (exciting!) so will work on your recall!

Bring your long lines and toys and food for the 6pm and 7:30pm

We will so do some Halloween tricks too, but 645pm class are going to be working on their tricks - so if you have a witches broom and/or trick or treat bucket, bring those!
