We offer a limited number of 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. There are only 4 appointments, available from 𝟭𝟬𝗮𝗺 - 𝟭𝟭𝗮𝗺, which will be for 𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬.

If you have an anxious dog, or a nervous cat who may prefer a quieter waiting room, this might be the perfect time for you! 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝟬𝟭𝟮𝟳𝟳 𝟴𝟮𝟯𝟴𝟱𝟴

Appointments must be booked in advance by 7pm the previous Friday evening. These consultations will be charged at the regular consultation fee of £61.12

𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝘁? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗼 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁
𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Here is some great advice about what to do if you come across a cat you think may be lost or missing. You can contact a cat rescue or bring them in for us to scan them in the hope of locating an owner. If they are sick or injured we will of course help, but if they are healthy we would not look to take them in to the practice. A cat rescue would be better placed to care and rehome them. They may even suggest, if safe to do so, returning them to where you found them.

Just a couple of weeks to go until our Open Day, which is going to be amazing day!
The day kicks off at 11am and run until 4pm. There will be loads going on all day, from fun Dog Show, craft stalls, demonstrations and tours. We have some very special guests!

There will also be yummy food available from Gourmet Kitchen and Bibbys Ice Cream.

APPEAL FOR POTENTION OWNERS OF STRAY CAT:

We have a stray cat at our Blackmore hospital branch, brought in last week on the 27th August. He has no chip, is aged somewhere between 18 months and 5 year. He is a long haired black and white entire male, found on Cherwell Drive in Melbourne Park area.

He came in needing some care and attention so has been given flea and worm treatment and had a good groom. We have named him 'Kevin'.

We don't think he has any owners but if you think he is yours, please let us know as soon as possible as we will look to find a rescue for him as soon as possible. 01277 823858

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗟𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝘂𝗽𝘀!

Lottie's owners brought her in on Monday, when she was having problems passing one of her puppies. She had already successfully given birth to three by this point but the next one was not in the correct position. But our vet Alice was able to reposition the puppy in the birth canal and assist her delivery and out popped number four!

Alice then took an x-ray to know how many pups we still had left to come. She stayed with her to pass the rest as Lottie had become too tired and her muscles couldn’t push any more, so she was given some medication over the next few hours to help her along the way. The last pup was also stuck, and Alice was again able to help her out.
In the end, eight gorgeous pups were delivered successfully, all healthy and feeding straight away.

Alice has since had an update from the owners to say that Lottie and pups are doing really, and Lottie is concentrating on getting some well deserved rest!

This was very nearly a c-section, in fact the team were gearing up in readiness, but Alice managed to successfully get her through with medical management and some assistance. A late night for all, but well worth it!

Congratulations to Lottie! What a privilege it was to be a part of the birth of these beautiful babies. ❤️

Today we say a sad farewell to Mikhela. Mikhela joined us on a one year internship last September having just qualified as a veterinary surgeon. She has very much become of the family here at H&J and we will miss her very much.

We wish her all the very best with her next adventure!
