🚨 CLASS CANCELLATION NOTICE🚨

Due to the extreme weather forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, all classes for this week are cancelled.

Whilst we appreciate that most of our classes are held in the evening, when it may be slightly cooler, the safety and wellbeing of both your dogs and ours is our utmost priority.

We know how much you and your dogs look forward to your evening sessions, as do we, but yours and our safety comes first.

Thank you for your understanding, we will be in contact in due course. Stay safe and cool!

At our Tuesday scent class with Holly, Lottie and Tully, we went for some blind searches, with multiple finds, and some selection/line up practice.

Very nice work! We had some hard to get to finds, so they all had to work super hard to work into source, along with some finds placed, where any movement would make it more tricky to work into source, but these three teams absolutely smashed it!

Selection was a little harder, or too much fun! Hard to tell sometimes!

Tricks class with Dot, Edie and Flint was spent doing some more work on hold, touch, retrieve hold and carry, send to/send to and release!

This is definitely their favourite trick after "put the thing in the thing"! Dot, loving the retrieve and hold and carry, Edie loving the hold and hold and carry, and Flint loving the send and release!

Excellent work! Can't wait until we start adding more bits to this trick! It's going to be epic (and/or hilarious 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣)!

Our final class on Thursday, saw Dot and Edie taking it in turns to work on multiple, closer together finds, before ending with some easier searches in terms of working into source - dropping to one find, in a larger area.

Great work from both of them! Some, inventive ways to work into source from Dot! With both of them doing some very thorough searching!

Then we had Daisy, who did a tiny bit of work on singing/not singing, but mostly concentrated on multiple finds, closer together, so she was having to try and work into two scent cones, for smaller amounts of scent!

Super job! Still one of our favourites for watching her work into source! She found it a bit tricky at first, which is understandable, but once she got the idea, she was a little pro!

First up in scent on Thursday we had Ted! We had a break from the work we were doing alongside scent, to work on something else, it happens. To all of us. Sometimes what you were working on needs a temporary shelving so you can work on something else, and that's ok!

So whilst still cracking on with his Scentwork, we introduced a new "game", it's called "Shhh and you can do some Scentwork"😉

He did well! It can be hard for some dogs to work out new games, but he picked this one up fairly quickly, taxed his brain, we think more than the scent!
Overall he's doing great! He's learning to be patient, even when he really wants to do something, he's trying his best to be a good boy, and he's nailing it!

We finished our week with Tricks class with Dot, Edie and Flint!
We decided to risk it for a biscuit this week, and look at our retrieve and hold...the flowers went down a little too well for one of the group, so it was more of a..erm...twig, but they all had huge amounts of fun, especially Dot, retrieve is her favourite!

This dynamic duo worked on finds at different heights , larger search areas, and a couple of deeper finds!
We also decided to change the areas around for each of them, as we didn't want any cheating!
