💚 BUDDY’S STORY 💚

Adorable Buddy, the Lhasa Apso, has been coming to me since 2016, when I first opened my doors. He was just a pup back then and had been rehomed at only 6 months old through no fault of his own. Thankfully, he landed firmly on his four paws with his amazing new family. 😍

They absolutely dote on Buddy, and it didn’t take him long to settle in and wrap them all around his little paws! 🐾💚

Buddy is now 10 years old and was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Sadly, he is now completely blind, but he has adapted so incredibly well. 🥹💚 Although it does take him a wee bit longer to find the treats I put down for him! 🙈😂

He’s such a chilled out boy and really does take everything in his stride. He is an absolute sweetheart, and I’m so grateful that I’ve had the pleasure of grooming him for such a long time. 🥰

It’s always special when I get to watch my little clients grow and change over the years. 💚

🐾 IT’S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT THE PERFECT GROOM 🐾

This is Ralphy… 🥰

I’ve been grooming Ralphy and his sister Ruby since they were pups. He came in for his puppy intros and was an absolute superstar for those, as well as his first full groom.

Sadly, on his third groom, Ralphy and his family lost his big sister Ruby to the 🌈 bridge 💔

Ralphy became very scared and nervous and started barking at everything at home. During his grooming sessions, he also became increasingly anxious. 😢

Ralphy currently comes in bathed and dried by Mum at home, and with each visit, he’s becoming more and more relaxed during his sessions again. ❤️

We take everything at his pace and never force anything he’s not comfortable with.

Today, he almost fell asleep while I was trimming his wee face 😍… although he was still absolutely petrified of the drier! 🙈

And that’s OK.

It’s NOT always about the perfect groom. It’s about making sure our best friends have a happy, positive and relaxing experience. 💚

Sometimes progress is simply being a little less scared than last time, and that’s something worth celebrating. 🥰

Well done today, Ralphy! I’m sure we’ll get there in the end. 💚🐾
