Our practice has been in operation for over 100 years at Rye Street in Bishop’s Stortford, Herts. 25 years ago we achieved Hospital status and remain the only one in a 10 mile radius. We aim to achieve the highest possible standards in patient and client care and continually invest in the latest equipment and staff training. 🎃👻 Halloween hazards to watch out for! 🐾

Keep your pets safe this Halloween by keeping chocolate, sweets, candles, decorations, grapes/raisins, fungi, conkers and acorns safely out of reach.

🎃 Be careful with pumpkins and Halloween costumes too, and always supervise your pets around decorations.

🚨 If your pet eats something they shouldn’t, contact your vet as soon as possible.

Found kitten - Sadly deceased 🌈

Found black and white kitten, estimated to be around 12 weeks old, with no microchip.
They do unfortunately appear to have been in a road traffic accident.
Found near Coppice Way.

🐾 A VERY busy Monday night! 🐾

It was an extremely busy 24 hours for our team, with four emergency surgeries carried out, alongside all other routine procedures for the day! 🏥

Our surgical team performed:
🚨Two exploratory laparotomies
🚨One splenectomy
🚨One emergency caesarean

A huge shout-out to our incredible Suzy, who carried out all four of these emergency surgeries during her on-call shift! 👏🏼💙

We thought we would share some gorgeous pictures of Winnie who had her C-section on Monday night and successfully delivered all 5 puppies. Mum and puppies are doing very well at home💕

We’re incredibly proud of the dedication, skill and hard work shown by our whole team, especially during such a challenging and busy night. Every patient received the care and attention they needed, whatever the hour🐾

Found cat - Sadly deceased 🌈

Found cat, handed in yesterday by a member of the public. They do unfortunately have appear to have been in an RTA so hard to identify gender but we believe is female. She is a long haired brown and cream ragdoll. She is sadly not microchipped. She was found wearing a sporty collar with a bow in the Heath Row area.

Today, we wish Jo a very happy 35 years at BSVH! Jo trained here and has been with us ever since, and we love her tremendously.

From being the Nurse Clinic Queen to manning the lab, we truly appreciate everything you do for us all.

Stray kitten found 🐾🤍

This lovely young lady was brought in to us at the weekend, she has no chip, is female and is around 6 months old.

She was found in Bishop’s Stortford after roaming around the area for some time and is currently receiving supportive treatment for a cat flu flare up.

Sadly a member of the public has brought in a male black and white, entire, domestic short hair cat. He unfortunately has no microchip or collar. He was found by the range in stortford. Please contact the practice directly if you believe he may be yours on 01279654108 💙
