🐾 MODEL DOGS WANTED – LEVEL 3 DOG GROOMING ASSESSMENTS 🐾
Do you have a dog that could help our Level 3 Dog Grooming students complete their practical assessments? ✂️🐶
We are currently looking for suitable assessment dogs, particularly:
🐾 Handstrip breeds – e.g. Border Terriers, West Highland Terriers, Norfolk Terriers, Cairn Terriers, Miniature Schnauzers, Wire Dachshunds, Cocker Spaniels (correct handstrip coat) (small to medium ideally)
🐾 Drop-coated breeds – e.g. Shih Tzus, Lhasa Apsos, Yorkshire Terriers, Maltese, Havanese
🐾 Wool / wool-mix coated breeds – e.g. Poodles, Bichon Frise, Cockapoos, Cavapoos, Labradoodles, Schnoodles
Dogs must be:
✔ Well behaved and comfortable being handled by learners
✔ Happy with grooming and being in a salon environment
✔ Comfortable resting in a crate for up to 1 hour over lunch
✔ Able to be dropped off between 8:30–9:00am and collected 3:30–4:00pm
✔ Have the correct coat type for assessment purposes
✔ Be free from knots / matting so students can complete the required styling work
