🌟 BOWES MANOR UNAFFILIATED SHOW JUMPING – THIS FRIDAY EVENING 🌟

Join us this Friday 12th June with a 4:30pm start for an evening of show jumping, with classes from Tiny Tots (45cm) right through to 1.05m.

What a brilliant day we had at our Springtastic Bank Holiday Show on 25th May! We were delighted with the fantastic turnout and would like to thank everyone who came along to compete, support, and help make the day such a success.

A reminder to all competitors who qualified for the Sunshine Tour Championships at Hickstead that your qualifying result must be submitted to Sunshine Tour within 30 days of the competition date in order to be verified.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Down and Out, where our very own Gabriella Savannah Lyons took first place aboard Billy Bristle, finishing at an impressive height of 1.30m! What a fantastic achievement – congratulations to both of them!

What an amazing half-term Pony Club we had! 🐴☀️

From exciting water fights and giving our ponies a good wash, to fun educational games and finishing the week with a fantastic Tack & Turnout Competition, the children had an absolute blast from start to finish. It was wonderful to see everyone learning new skills, building confidence, making friends, and most importantly, having lots of fun!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us – we loved every minute and can’t wait to do it all again this summer! 🌟

Everyone who has placed 1st–3rd at our shows so far has automatically qualified for the Sunshine Tour at Hickstead! However, please remember that all qualifying results must be submitted within 30 days of the show date to secure your qualification.

⛔️ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT AHEAD OF TOMORROW’S SHOW ⛔️

We would like to highlight the ongoing risks associated with Strangles and Equine Influenza (Equine Flu). These highly contagious diseases remain a concern, and vigilance from ALL horse owners is essential.

We would like to remind all competitors of the importance of maintaining high standards of biosecurity to help protect the health and welfare of all horses attending, our own horses, and the wider equine community.

We kindly ask all visitors to follow the guidance below:

💙 Ensure all horses are fully vaccinated and compliant with current vaccination requirements (Horses that are not vaccinated will not be permitted on site)

💙 Passports must be presented before unloading

💙 Please do not attend if your horse, or any horse on your yard, is showing signs of illness, respiratory symptoms, or any viral infection.

💙 Horses should be returned to their lorry, trailer or stable area between classes and should not be congregated in groups around the venue.

💙 Hand grazing is not permitted anywhere on the venue grounds.

💙 Competitors are encouraged to maintain sensible distancing from others where possible.

💙 Please do not share tack, equipment, water buckets or grooming items.

💙 No access is permitted to the yard or private stables at any time.

Maintaining strong biosecurity practices is one of the most effective ways we can collectively protect our horses and keep competitions running safely.

With temperatures looking high tomorrow we would advise everyone to take extra care in managing their horses in the heat. Please consider a shorter, more efficient warm-up and cool them down thoroughly after competing. Due to bio security measures, outside attendees will not be permitted to use shared water troughs situated in the arenas and are instead advised to bring their own bucket.
