The Henkel’s Leaf-tailed Gecko (Uroplatus henkeli) is a gorgeous species endemic to the islands of Madagascar. This animal can reach lengths of 12” including their distinctive leaf-shaped tail and is found high up in the trees, primarily in the tropical forests.

This beautiful specimen has been with us for some time now and is still looking for his forever home!

He will need a keeper with a bit more experience because of his care needs and jumpy behaviour!

This species is listed as vulnerable in the wild due to habitat loss and degradation.
