BETA International is always a great opportunity to check out new products and meet up with colleagues from around the country. I’m looking forward to it this weekend.

On Saturday the Crewe Saddlery Crew, myself included, were guests of gfs_saddlesuk at Blenheim Horse Trials for the launch of their new range of synthetic saddles.

The Elevate range emulate the popular Monarch range and will be available as a Jump, Dressage or General Purpose saddle on either the standard or cob panel and in black or brown.

Priced very reasonably they will be available from this autumn and will be a real competitor to the Wintec and Thorowgood ranges.

Book now for a fitting if you’re interested in trying one.

There’s a new side to GFS Saddles on the horizon…

Thoughtful design. Attention to detail. Made with the horse and rider in mind.

Something new is coming to ELEVATE your ride and it might not be quite what you’re expecting from GFS.

A new side to GFS Saddles. Coming early 2027.

More will be revealed at Blenheim. 👀

Thursday was one of those days where I appreciate the weather. Or not!

Whether I was in Goole, Selby, Barnsley or Doncaster the weather was weathering. I’m not sure I’d actually listened to the forecast that morning and as is often the case wasn’t particularly prepared for it.

Nevertheless, fittings continued in the best way possible, with a little contingency and a couple of caveats. I was very much grateful for what cover there was and even managed to get home only a little soggy around the edges!

“Tell me you have a little girl in your life without telling me you have a little girl in your life!” says Nellie.

How cute does she look all plaited up and flowers for decoration?!

Nellie is an awesome child’s pony, full of go when ridden in her Arena pony general purpose saddle, yet an absolute angel on the ground to be faffed with.

Saddle fittings aren’t always about selling you a new saddle, or this or that. Sometimes it about getting a sanity check and fine tuning what you already have!

Whether you are after a new or second hand saddle or just need a Qualified Saddle Fitter to cast an eye over things, feel free to get in touch.
