Meet our new little family! 🐈🧡

Wednesday, Pugsley and Enid have joined us from a small colony of cats we are currently helping.
A kind lady, who has helped rescue homeless cats in the past, has been caring for and feeding these cats while patiently waiting for us to have space to take them in. 🐾

Pugsley and Enid are around 7 months old, and we believe Wednesday is their mummy and only a young girl herself.

Wednesday is a confident, loving girl who has settled in really well. Pugsley, our tabby and white boy, is a little nervous and hand shy, but having his mummy nearby helps him feel more comfortable around us. He is a very sweet boy and is already enjoying some gentle fusses. 🥰

Enid is a little more nervous, so we are giving her the time and space she needs to settle in at her own pace and learn that she can trust us ❤️

The girls are booked in to our vets to be spayed next week.

We will keep you updated on this little family. ♥️

🎉 Happy News 🎉

After both spending just over a year with us here at the sanctuary, our gorgeous girlies India and Button both went off to their forever homes yesterday ❤️

We have no idea why either of these girls were with us for so long, but we are so grateful to both of their adopters for choosing them and finally giving them their happy ever afters! 👸👸

We have already had updates from both families and they are both doing brilliantly, and settling in well 🥰

Be happy girls 💕 we look forward to seeing lots of pictures once you are fully settled and causing havoc! 😹🧡

If you are thinking of opening your hearts and home to a new feline best friend, please take a look at the other cats we have waiting patiently for their homes 🤞

Today is World animal road accident awareness day 🚗 🐾

We came across this great post from Meowing Mad Cat Rescue and felt it was an important message that needed sharing. Please take a moment to have a read 🧡
👇🏻

🚨🚘We are honoured to be spreading the message to drive safely on World Animal Road Accident Awareness Day🚘🚨

As a cat rescue we are big advocates for indoor only homes or SAFE outdoor access. This does mean we will not re-home our cats near busy roads to have outdoor access. This upsets a lot of people but we absolutely must put the welfare of our cats first🐈🐾

We know that sadly cats are not the only animals that fall victim to roads and vehicles. Sadly, wildlife is also frequently affected😭💔

If you are happy to get involved with this message, please share this post. Advocate for animals, ask people to drive safely!🚘

🚘Drive Safely
-Slow down in rural or wooded areas
-Stay alert at dawn, dusk and night
-Watch for wildlife crossing signs
-Look for the reflection of headlights in animals’ eyes

‼️Help & Report
-Stop and help if you hit an animal
-Report injured wildlife immediately
-Take injured pets straight to a vet
-Never leave an animal in the road

🫶🏼Support & Educate
-Share awareness posts using -Support rescues who deal with road casualties -Keep cats indoors overnight where possible
-Encourage others to drive with compassion

🌟 Saturday Spotlight 🌟

Little miss Cherry-pie is recovering from a 2nd surgery on her leg and is looking for a forever foster home that can give her the love, attention and care she needs!!! 🥰

She is going back to the specialist vet next week for another check. She's still recovering and having a bit of a limp sometimes but she's definitely better than she was 🩵 Sadly we won't be able to fix her legs completely but the surgeries should give her a good quality of life out of discomfort which is the most important thing!!!

Cherry LOVES attention and has no understanding of personal space or the fact her body cannot keep up with her crazy energy! (She would run everywhere if we let her regardless of pain and her malfunctioning legs 🙈 She definitely hasn't been the easiest dog to keep calm for her recovery to say the least!!!!)

We would really love to see her find her forever foster home soon but we are looking for a special person that can give her the home and care she needs so we need your help reaching them so please share this post! 🐾

Cherry needs:
🧡 Adult only home
🧡 No other pets
🧡 Quiet home
🧡 Local to our Sanctuary or to our vets in Redditch for her check ups
🧡 Someone that doesn't mind having her squish her face into theirs as this is one of her favourite cuddle moves 🤣

Sadly we know Cherry's home requirements limit her and put people off applying 😭 But these requirements simply are what she needs!!!! Cherry has had a really rough time and needs to find her special home with a loving family that can give her the love, understanding and care that she needs 🧡

🐕You can read all about Cherry on our website and apply by completing the "Enquire about me"
https://www.wythallanimalsanctuary.org/dogs/cherryn

As a foster dog we will continue to cover the cost of her veterinary care which is why we need someone local to us or our vets in Redditch.
We can also support her fosterers should they need us 🧡

Please Keep your fingers (and paws🐾) crossed for Cherry's next vet visit with us and please please help us get her into her forever foster home 🧡
