As one of the few kennels with the experience and capability to care for ANY breed and ANY temperament of dog, we have a number of "contact free" kennels available.

Here are a few photos of one of our "contact free" dogs out and about enjoying some bonding time with the kennel staff 🫶 It takes a lot of patience and understanding to get certain dogs to build this level of confidence in their carers, but hey, "only through perseverance did the snail reach the ark" right?! We love you Kai!

Our traditional workshop in Birmingham produces Rolled Leather Buckle Collars which are entirely hand crafted in the finest English Bridle Leather. Available in Black or Havana, they can be styled with brass or steel furnishings. Even the matching gold or white coloured threads used in the manufacture are hand made!

THAT DAY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!

We cannot begin to express how much we have missed the wagging tails, happy greetings, and wonderful dogs that have made our kennels feel like home and we are deeply grateful for the support, patience and kind messages which we have received during our closure. Your loyalty and understanding have meant more to us than we can possibly express.

Whether your dog is an old friend who has stayed with us many times before or a new guest visiting for the first time, we are committed to making every stay safe, happy and enjoyable. Our team is eager to reconnect with familiar faces, make new memories and continue providing a home-away-from-home for your beloved companion.

As we reopen this next chapter of Karenswood Kennels, we do so with immense gratitude and excitement. Thank you for standing by us. We are honoured to be part of your dogs' lives and look forward to welcoming you both back very soon.

Affectionately nicknamed, “The Piggery,” due to the pigsties that stood next door in the 1970s, this spacious dog walking field offers a peaceful and characterful setting for exercise and exploration. The wide, open expanse provides plenty of room for dogs to enjoy long-lead exercise, allowing them the freedom to run, roam, and build confidence while remaining safely under control. Along the field margins, hedgerows, grasses, and natural vegetation create a rich tapestry of scents, carrying the traces of an abundance of local wildlife that capture the interest of even the most curious canine noses. With its blend of open space, natural surroundings, and local history, the Piggery offers endless opportunities for sniffing and enrichment and remains a favourite spot for dogs visiting Karenswood Kennels.
