Hi we are Sarah & Adam Smith, qualified Puppy School tutors based in the West Midlands.

Puppy School Hollywood was created out of a passion for dogs, to improve the quality of life for dogs and their families through reward based training and education. Puppy School Hollywood & Solihull was created out of a passion for dogs and specifically to improve the quality of life for dogs and their families.

More celebrations, this time for our graduating Puppy School pups at our Knowle venue with Adam - Bertie, Ralph, Remi, Ronnie. Amazing progress and a huge well done to everyone. Everyone worked hard and achieved so much. Yesterday Milo and Sarah started their beginner scentwork course, a 3 week course that introduces them to the disciplines of searching, scent id and selection. Week 1 was searching and Milo soon picked up searching the perimeter first, finding food even hidden between two wellies! We have our homework and are working on our scent id. Love watching the boy work and fantastic CPD for Sarah ( ) Thanks for a great first session 🥰🐾🙌🏻

Sunday Celebrations… and we have a few recently. So starting with our recent Puppy School graduate pups Cheddar, Ralph & Pippa (also Solly & Luie who couldn’t make the final week). Amazing group of puppies and their families who all worked hard and achieved so much. Recent Puppy School graduate Solly and his mum left us this feedback and it has definitely brought the Friday Feels. We have loved watching the progress both of them have made. Today is National Dog Day, also known as International Dog Day. A day to celebrate the bond we have with our dogs but also to highlight those that are awaiting their forever family. All three of our dogs know this too well - Nia was surrendered to a rescue at 16 weeks old. We are thankful for the love, joy and learning each of them has given us. So let’s celebrate together and share photos of our dogs - Sarah celebrates 10 years of Puppy School Hollywood later this year so this is easily nearly a thousand puppies and dogs that we’ve got to know in that time 🥰🐾🐶 Puppy School | Puppy Training Classes Nationwide

Saturday our amazing SuperPups demonstrated great food impulse control by learning the exercise ‘Wait for it!’ Ozzy, Willow and Mia all used the cue of a hand over a food bowl or plate to show that they need to remove their face/paws and give some space to wait to receive the reward. They absolutely smashed it with all progressing to having the bowl placed on the floor and Mia using a plate. Well done everyone 🥰🐾👏🏻 Puppy School | Puppy Training Classes Nationwide

We never stop learning and value CPD (career professional development). Combining this with training with our own dogs is a great opportunity and that is exactly what we did yesterday. First was Milo and mantrailing with He correctly trailed trail layers despite decoys, walking line ups, taking scent from a second person who was hugged, to name a few. Then in the afternoon, Nia worked on her progressive skills and gained her Intermediate Good companion Award with . Short clip of video shows a warm up incorporating rally, obedience and off lead walking skills within the vicinity of other working dogs. So chuffed with both fur kids and so much learning, professionally and personally. Anyone interested in doing Good Companion Awards as we’re thinking of running these again? Possible trigger warning - post surgery recovery for Nala day 2. Our girl had 7 warts and a cyst removed along with 2 teeth on Monday. She is having to wear an inflatable collar and looks a bit patchwork but is coping well and even enjoyed a brief play with a new toy yesterday - the power of toy play and feel good vibes. We are very grateful to our vets Special Friends Animal Medical Centre, for looking after our girl 🥰🐾🍩
