A picture speaks a thousand words… this one a much needed rest for Moose who fights sleep when over tired. Sometimes he will busy himself and then choose to sleep but other times it’s an absolute no. We’ve been building a positive association with his crate (feeding in there, playing in there, rewarding for going in there, etc) so putting some food rewards down and shutting the door whilst sitting close by where he can see us, has helped ‘enforce rest/sleep’ for him. To be clear, this is where he is happy, chilled out and goes to sleep. He is never left to cry it out, stay in there even though he’s not settling/sleeping, etc. It is his happy place and means we can all chill out a bit without an over tired baby shark doing zoomies around the place 🥰🐾😴 Puppy School | Puppy Training Classes Nationwide

10 days of Moose and he started Puppy School | Puppy Training Classes Nationwide classes on Tuesday (we started Week 2 and have been using the Puppy Club videos and manual to catch up Week 1). He demonstrated positions and settled superbly in between the exercises. Good boy Moose 🫎 🐾🥰

Sunday we had 5 amazing puppies and their owners graduate Puppy School classes at our Redditch venue - Indy, Spud, Belle and Sadie (also Mac who had to leave before the photos). So much progress and reasons to celebrate for every single one of these pups and their families. As always, it is a privilege to share part of this journey and huge congratulations to each and every one of them. Absolutely and something we are doing with Moose. We both take turns to sleep on the camp bed with him so he can settle and sleep in his area - sometimes in the crate, sometimes next to us. We have also started building up times where he is in his area alone but he can see us sitting down through the play pen in the adjoining room. He is happy and building trust that we don’t have to be immediately there but close by 🥰🐾🙌🏻

So much socialisation and training for Moose this weekend including meeting lots of other Puppy School tutors and watching them work with their dogs for a CPD event on Saturday, watching graduation class and a training class with Nia on Sunday, and then to top it all off, watching the cement truck arrive and start pouring concrete for our driveway! Day of Moose and something I’m sure some of you can relate to… juggling time and making the most of opportune moments to switch from puppy mode to work mode. It’s not forever, it’s just while we establish a routine and help Moose decompress and trust that this is his forever home 🥰🐾😴

We’ve been keeping a secret 🤫 whilst waiting patiently for everything to align, yesterday we officially adopted and welcomed Moose to our family (we have changed his name). A 12 week Siberian Husky who was surrendered with his litter mates. He is finding his paws and we’re working on confidence, routine, socialisation experiences (visiting Adam at work and then a quick pop into the vets) and some week 1 Puppy School | Puppy Training Classes Nationwide training. Our beautiful furries have been exceptional whilst we integrate Moose to the family. So if we look a bit tired at classes, you know why. A massive thank you to Dogs Trust Leeds for trusting us with this wonderful boy 🥰🐾👋🏻

Week 5 for our Redditch Puppy School pups and gentle Indy showing his recall past multiple distractions (toys, grooming items, food and novel items). He is such a lovely boy who is so considered around the smaller pups in class and who absolutely smashed his recall yesterday. Well done Indy and everyone for doing so well 🥰🐾🙌🏻 New class starting Sunday 25th October, 11am at Stock & Bradley Green Village Hall
