Buddy… who clearly thinks training sessions should come with unlimited belly rubs!

Apparently, I'm not just a dog trainer anymore… I'm also a full-time massage therapist! 🤣

Safe to say, Buddy has got me wrapped around his paws! 🐾💕

I absolutely love this photo of me and Marley during one of our training sessions! 🥹

Sometimes it's not about the commands, but the connection, trust and understanding we build along the way.

Training is so much more than obedience. It's about building a relationship where our dogs want to learn with us. 🐾💙

🐾 A Little Update & A Big Thank You! 🐾

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all my lovely clients for being so patient and understanding over the last week! 🥰

What started as a horrible cold has unfortunately turned into a chest infection, and it's safe to say it's completely knocked me off my feet! 🤧 Thankfully, I'm now on antibiotics and on the mend!

I've been doing my best to keep up with messages, enquiries and rearranging sessions, but I've also spent a lot of time sleeping and resting to get myself better.

Anyone who knows me knows I hate sitting still, especially when it comes to doing something I love! But sometimes you have to listen to your body and slow down.

Your dogs deserve me at my best, not when I'm running on empty! 🐶❤️

Thank you again for your patience, lovely messages and continued support. It really does mean the world!

Looking forward to seeing you all! 💕

Working together on one of my customers’ dogs for his first proper groom.

Rather than jumping straight into a full groom, we took the time to prepare him for what was going to happen.

First grooms can be a lot for a dog, especially when they’re experiencing the grooming table, equipment, noises, handling and everything else for the first time.

We worked on:
🐾 Getting comfortable being handled and touched all over
🐾 Introducing the grooming table and being stood on it
🐾 Getting him used to the grooming equipment around him
🐾 Building positive associations with the dryer and other noises
🐾 Taking things at his pace and giving him time to process everything
🐾 Keeping the experience calm, positive and rewarding
🐾 Watching his body language and making sure we didn't push him past his comfort level

The aim isn't simply to get the groom done. It's to teach him that grooming is something he can feel safe and comfortable with.

And this is exactly why I love what Dogsville K9 Training & Tegan’s Trimms can offer!

I'm able to support the behaviour and training side, while Tegan focuses on the grooming, working together so the dog gets the best possible experience rather than expecting them to cope with everything all at once.

Family working together, I couldn't ask for a better person to work alongside.

One little step at a time, building confidence for his future grooms!
