🐾❤️ 1,000 FOLLOWERS… IN JUST 6 MONTHS. ❤️🐾

Six months ago, United Paws Rescue was just an idea.

We were a small family who simply looked at the dogs who needed help and thought, “We have to try.” 🐶

We didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into.
We didn’t know how far we would get.
We didn’t know if anyone would even believe in what we were trying to build.

We just knew we wanted to help dogs. ❤️

And now, only six months later, there are 1,000 of you following our journey. 🥹🐾

Honestly, we’re emotional writing this.

Because behind that number are 1,000 people who have taken the time to follow us, care about what we do, share our dogs, support our posts and help us reach people who might be able to change a dog’s life.

For a small family-run team, that means more than we could ever properly put into words.

We’ve had moments over these last six months where we’ve wondered if we were doing enough, whether we could keep going, and whether we were crazy for taking this on.

But then we see a dog get their chance.

We see a frightened dog begin to trust.

We see a dog finally find their forever home.

And we remember exactly why we started. ❤️

So to every single one of our 1,000 followers — thank you.

Thank you for coming along on this journey with us.

Thank you for believing in our little rescue.

Thank you for helping us give dogs a voice.

And thank you for reminding us that even a small family, with a big enough heart, can make a difference. 🐾❤️

🐾 PHOENIX UPDATE ❤️🏡

We have some VERY exciting news about our beautiful Phoenix! 🥹❤️

Phoenix had his meet and greet today, although technically he had already met his potential family — these are the amazing people who helped get him safely to us in the first place! 🐾

Today they brought along their other canine friend so the dogs could meet properly, and we are absolutely delighted to say that Phoenix will be having a sleepover this weekend! 🥰🏡

And honestly… look how happy this boy is! 🥹❤️

Phoenix jumped straight into the car, completely happy and ready to leave with them. No hesitation, no looking back just a very happy boy settling himself onto the back seat like he had done it a hundred times before! 🐶🚗

We’ve included some photos of him enjoying his journey and beginning to settle in, and we think his little face says it all. ❤️

At this stage, we already have a really good feeling that this could be his forever home. 🏡🥹

Of course, the sleepover gives everyone the opportunity to see how Phoenix settles into family life, how he gets on with his new canine friend and, most importantly, how he feels in his potential forever home.

Phoenix has come such a long way. When he arrived with us, he had clearly been through a very difficult time, and watching him begin to trust, settle and show his personality has been incredibly rewarding.

Now we're keeping everything crossed that this weekend is the start of his happy-ever-after. 🥹🐾❤️

🐾 BRUNO’S SURGERY FUND UPDATE ❤️

We honestly cannot thank everyone enough for the incredible support you’ve shown Bruno. 🥹❤️

Thanks to your recent shares, donations and continued support, we have now reached £775 of our £2,000 target towards Bruno’s care, including the BOAS surgery he desperately needs. 🎉🐾

For those who may not know, BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) makes breathing difficult for dogs like Bruno. His airways are restricted, meaning he has to work much harder to breathe, particularly when he is excited, stressed or exercising. Surgery is incredibly important for him because it can help improve his ability to breathe, reduce the strain on his body and give him a much better quality of life.

The surgery is only part of Bruno’s journey. He will also need **careful aftercare and monitoring while he recovers**, and we want to make sure he has everything he needs to get through this safely and comfortably.

Bruno has already been through so much, and seeing him getting stronger and putting on weight has been amazing. ❤️ We desperately want to give this boy the chance to breathe easier, feel better and enjoy the happy life he deserves.

Meet our gorgeous Bruno. ❤️

Bruno has already been through so much, but his journey isn't over yet. He urgently needs BOAS surgery – a life-changing operation that will allow him to breathe properly, exercise without struggling, and simply enjoy being a dog.

The surgery is expected to cost around £2,000.

We have just under 1,000 amazing members in this group. Imagine the difference we could make if everyone donated just £2. Together, we could raise enough to give Bruno the surgery he desperately needs.

£2 might not seem like much, but to Bruno it could mean:

💙🐾 A Huge Thank You to Allbreed Grooming! 🐾💙

We'd like to say a massive thank you to Allbreed Groomers for supporting United Paws Rescue by collecting donations in their designated donation boxes within the salon.

This week they dropped off an amazing collection of dog food, toys, treats and other essential supplies that have been generously donated by their wonderful customers.

Every bag of food, every toy and every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a real difference to the dogs in our care. These donations help us provide comfort, enrichment and the everyday essentials our rescue dogs need while they wait for their forever homes.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has taken the time to pop something into the donation boxes, and of course to the fantastic team at Allbreed Groomers for continuing to support our rescue and giving people an easy way to help.

🐺❤️ Phoenix is now looking for his forever home!❤️🐺

After everything this incredible boy has been through, we're so excited to finally open adoption applications for Phoenix.

Phoenix has been given a clean bill of health by the vets and is now ready to find the loving home he truly deserves.

His exact age is unknown, but our vets estimate he's between 6 and 8 years old.

Phoenix is an incredibly sweet, gentle-natured boy with a cheeky personality that's becoming more apparent every day. As he's settled into foster care, his typical husky vocals have started to shine through, and they're guaranteed to make you smile! He absolutely loves a ball and would happily spend hours playing fetch.

Phoenix gets on well with other dogs and could happily live with canine companions, provided introductions are done correctly.

We do want to be completely honest about one area we're continuing to work on. Phoenix displays mild food guarding around his food bowl, both towards people and other animals. Given what we know about his past, this isn't surprising. When Phoenix arrived with us, he was so desperately hungry that he had been eating rubbish just to survive, and he was bringing it back up. We believe this behaviour stems from having gone without food for far too long rather than from aggression by nature. With patience, consistency and positive training, we expect this to continue improving.

Because of this, we're looking for:

🐾 A home with children aged 10 years and over.

🐾 A home without cats. While Phoenix has shown he can tolerate cats, we don't feel it would be fair or sensible to place him in a home with them because of his food guarding.
🐾 A family willing to continue building his confidence and helping him leave his difficult past behind.

Most importantly, Phoenix needs someone who will love him for the amazing dog he is and give him the secure, happy future he's waited so long for.

🐾 Honey's Week of Pampering! ✨💛

What a difference a week can make! 😍

Over the last week, Honey has been thoroughly spoilt with a full pamper session, and just look at her now! From a scruffy little girl to an absolutely gorgeous lady. ✂️🛁

She was an absolute superstar for the groomers and loved every minute of the attention. 🥰 She happily soaked up all the fuss and cuddles, although she did make it very clear that having her little feet touched wasn't her favourite part! 😂 Even so, she was incredibly well behaved and let the groomer work through it at her own pace.

It's amazing what a good groom can do. Not only does Honey look like a completely different dog, but she also looks so much happier and more comfortable. Her beautiful little face is finally shining through, and we think she's absolutely stunning! ❤️

Every day Honey is growing in confidence, learning to trust, and showing us more of her sweet, loving personality. We couldn't be prouder of how far she's come in such a short space of time.

🐺🤍 ✨ THE HUSKY HAS A NAME... ✨ 🤍🐺

It's hard to believe this handsome boy has been with us for just under a week already!🥹❤️

Over the last few days we've had hundreds of you following his journey, cheering him on and suggesting names for his fresh start. Choosing just one was much harder than we ever imagined! 🥹💙

✨🐺 Meet... PHOENIX! 🐺✨

We felt this name couldn't be more perfect. ❤️

A phoenix symbolises strength, resilience, hope and new beginnings. It rises from the ashes, leaving the past behind and starting a brand-new chapter... and that's exactly what this beautiful boy is doing. 🕊️✨

His past doesn't define him anymore.

His future starts now. ❤️🏡

Now... onto his update! 🥰👇

Just look at that smile! 😍📸 We think the photos say it all.

This boy has already started to show us his true personality. Every day he's growing in confidence, and seeing that huge husky smile makes every mile travelled, every late night and every bit of hard work completely worthwhile. 🐺❤️

💙 A little reminder of Phoenix's journey...

As many of you know, Phoenix's rescue wasn't straightforward.

Originally, he should have travelled alongside Honey, but plans changed at the very last minute, leaving him behind. 💔 Thankfully, we were able to rearrange transport and make sure this handsome boy finally made it safely into our care. 🚗🐾

Unfortunately, not long after arriving, Phoenix became unwell and started being sick. 😞 Naturally, we didn't take any chances, so he had his first trip to the vets with us. 🩺🐶

Thankfully, after being examined, it became clear that Phoenix had been passing pieces of rubbish and packaging that he had eaten before coming into our care. 💔

We'll never know exactly where it came from, but we believe it may have been from the garden he had previously been living in. Sadly, when dogs become hungry enough, they'll often eat whatever they can find just to ease their hunger. 😢 No dog should ever have to experience that.

The good news is... 🌟

❤️ Phoenix has made a fantastic recovery.
🍽️ He's enjoying regular meals.
🛏️ He has a warm, comfy bed.
🏡 He's finally safe.
🥰 And he's surrounded by people who already love him.

🐺 So... what's Phoenix really like?

Honestly... he's an absolute pleasure to have around. ❤️

He's such a quiet, gentle boy who has settled into foster life far quicker than we ever expected. 🥹

He absolutely loves a fuss and enjoys spending time with people, but he's equally happy wandering off to find his favourite cosy spot where he can stretch out and relax. 💤🤍

And there's one thing we've learnt very quickly... 👀

🥾🐾 HE LOVES HIS WALKS! 🐺💙

Without a doubt they're the highlight of his day! The excitement on his face when he realises it's walk time is absolutely priceless. Watching him enjoy life's simple pleasures reminds us exactly why we do what we do. ❤️

Our foster family have completely fallen in love with him already. 🥹 He's proving to be such a sweet, well-mannered boy who simply wants to be loved.

⏳ Although Phoenix is doing amazingly well, he's still decompressing and adjusting to his new life.

We're in absolutely no rush.

Over the coming weeks he'll remain in foster while we continue getting to know him, carry out his behavioural assessments, begin his vaccinations, complete a full health check and make sure he's in the very best condition before he starts searching for his forever family. 🩺💉🏡

Every dog deserves the right home, and every adopter deserves to know as much as possible about the dog they're welcoming into their lives. ❤️🐾

🥹 Just one week ago, Phoenix's future was uncertain...

✨ Today he's smiling.
🍽️ His tummy is full.
🏡 He's warm.
❤️ He's loved.
🐾 And he's finally getting the second chance every dog deserves.

This is exactly why we do what we do. ❤️🐺
