What an amazing evening walk today with Fred, Chase and Milo! 🐾❤️ We headed down to Ashey, where there are beautiful open fields for them to run around, play and have some fun. I took a few balls along so they could burn off some extra energy, and they absolutely loved it!

It’s such a beautiful place with the most lovely views. I can even see my Nan’s monument from there, which makes it feel even more special to me. Being there brings me a real sense of joy and happiness. 🥰🌅

A beautiful evening, happy dogs, and some very special views — what more could you ask for? ❤️🐶

After a month and a half off, I’m finally back! 🐾❤️ And honestly, it has been an absolute joy seeing all the dogs again — I’ve missed them so much!

Yesterday, we had our first group walk back with Fred, Chase and Milo, and today we had Fred and Patch back together for their duo walk this morning, followed by Fred again this evening for a solo walk.

Seeing the dogs back together again has brought me so much joy and happiness. 🥹🐶❤️ There really is nothing better than being back doing what I love!

I’m also incredibly grateful for how amazing and understanding my clients have been while I’ve been away. It honestly means so much to have such wonderful clients who have been so patient and supportive. 🥰

I’m officially back now — no more slacking! 😂🐾 Let’s get those tails wagging! ❤️

🐾 An Update from AC Waggy Walkies 🐾

You may have noticed that my social media has been a little quieter recently. I’ve still been busy behind the scenes with dog sitting and early morning and late evening walks.

After a lot of thought, I have made the difficult decision to take a step back from AC Waggy Walkies for a couple of months.

The past year has been an incredible journey. I’ve met so many amazing people and dogs, and I’m extremely grateful to all of my wonderful clients for their continued support and trust.

This hasn’t been an easy decision, as I have put so much time, hard work and dedication into my business, and I truly love what I do.

My account will remain active, and I will be back. This isn’t the end, just a short break. 🐾❤️

Thank you for all your support.

As the weather starts to warm up again, your dog’s safety and wellbeing remain my top priority.

To help keep all dogs safe during the hotter months, walk times will be moved to the cooler parts of the day whenever possible, either early in the morning or later in the evening. If temperatures are too high for a safe walk, I may recommend changing your booking to a dog sitting visit or a drop-in instead, ensuring your dog still receives care, attention, toilet breaks, and enrichment without the risks associated with walking in the heat.

As a general policy, I will not take dogs out for walks when temperatures reach 20°C or above. Every dog copes with heat differently, but many have thick coats and cannot regulate their body temperature as effectively as humans. Even gentle exercise in warm weather can quickly lead to overheating or heatstroke, particularly in breeds with thick coats, flat faces, older dogs, puppies, or those with underlying health conditions.

For any walks that do go ahead, I will:

* Walk in shaded areas wherever possible.
* Keep walks shorter and at a gentle pace if needed.
* Carry fresh water and offer regular drink breaks.
* Monitor each dog closely for signs of overheating, such as excessive panting, slowing down, drooling, or lethargy.
* Avoid hot pavements where possible, as they can burn sensitive paw pads.

Thank you for your understanding and support. These measures are in place to ensure every dog stays happy, comfortable, and, most importantly, safe throughout the warmer weather.

Walk with Fred and patch this morning

01/07/2026

This week’s walks so far:

🐾 Fred and Patch enjoyed their duo walk.
🐾 Basil had his one-hour walk.
🐾 Lou and Peanut had their toilet breaks.

With temperatures rising again this week, some walks may be adjusted to drop-in visits to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety in the heat.

Today we had Freddie for his hour walk. Again due to the heat his owners chose to cancel the walks.
