Better late than never! Yesterday was Ginger Cat Appreciation Day! So it only seems right we introduce you to Otis, the softest of the softies! 💕

This handsome boy was in for a health check and preventative flea & worm treatment, and as you can see, he doesn't have a care in the world! In fact he was doing a 'roly poly' on the consult table! 😺

Meet the lovely Mabel and Bruce!

They are Norwegian forest cats and are both very chilled. They were in for their routine vaccinations and they didn't have a care in the world! Such long beautiful coats, and as you can imagine they need lots of grooming! 😍

Beautiful Bertie! ❤️

Just look at that sweet face 😍 It's nice to see dogs so happy coming to the vets, or maybe it's all about the gravy bones!

Either way, Bertie knows how to work the crowd! He is a master of the cute puppy dog face, head tilt, sad eyes, and all on two legs! 🐾

Let's talk mites! 🙀

At this time of year, we see lots of patients suffering from harvest mites. You may have seen the tiny orange dots on your animal, (if you look close enough!) these are the larvae. We see lots of cats suffering from harvest mites, their favourite hiding places are the tip of the tail, in between the paws and behind the ears, where they can't reach them! 😿

These nasty little critters can irritate your pets skin, causing them to chew and scratch at themselves, making their skin sore and scabby 🐾

Don't worry though, harvest mites cannot survive in your house like fleas can. Phew! If your cat likes to sleep in tall grass/bushes and is experiencing any skin problems, please give us a call 📞

Meet Elsa! Part dog- part wolf!!

Elsa has been in to see us recently for a few issues, she had some nose bleeds, lost some weight and wasn't eating as much as usual 🐾

Elsa was promptly booked in for an ultrasound scan which revealed some anamolyies with her liver and spleen. Elsa is taking it easy and taking some medication to make her feel better. Feel better soon Elsa, she is such a brave girl and such a softie ❤️

Happy Monday everyone 👋🏼

I'm sure Jackson for one is glad it has cooled down today! He definitely wins the award for the most impressive coat! 🐶 Jackson was in for his regular health check, to get some more flea and wormer and for cuddles! 🐾
