🍂 Hello September… 🐾

There’s something about September that feels like a little reset button.

The holidays have happened, routines have gone slightly out of the window, the dogs have had their fair share of adventures… and now we start thinking about getting back into a rhythm again. 😂

Maybe September is the month you finally get around to that training you’ve been meaning to do.

Maybe you want to teach your puppy, rescue dog or even older dog some great life skills.

Is your adolescent dog needing extra support?

Maybe your dog needs a little more help with recall, loose lead walking, meeting other dogs appropriately.

Do you need support knowing what to teach them after the puppy stages?

Or maybe you simply want to do something enjoyable with your dog and have a bit of fun along the way. 🐶

Whatever your reason, a new term is a pretty good excuse for a fresh start. 💜

And before you think we’ve suddenly become terribly sensible and are back to work…

🌞 We are both still enjoying a few more days of our summer holiday! 😂

But September classes are just around the corner starting next week.

So grab a cuppa, have a look at what’s coming up and if you’ve been saying “I really must get round to that…”

🐾 NOVICE SOCIAL LIFESKILLS 🐾

Want to enjoy taking your dog out and about without feeling like you are constantly battling with them?

Our 6-week Novice Social Lifeskills course is designed to build the practical skills dogs need for everyday life, around people, other dogs and the distractions of the real world.

We will work on things such as:

🐾 Happy International Dog Day! 🐾

Today is a lovely excuse to celebrate our dogs, not just for the fun, cuddles and companionship they bring, but for all the little ways they become such an important part of our lives.

They make us laugh, teach us patience, get us outside and, somehow, manage to take up far more space in our hearts than they ever do on the sofa! ❤️

So today, enjoy the extra cuddle, the favourite game, the sniffy walk or simply being together.

And we absolutely love this poem from Noel, it really resonates with us. 💜

🏆 BIG NEWS – We Have Been Keeping a Secret! 🏆

We are beyond thrilled to finally share this with you all…

For the second year running, we have been awarded a Prestige Award 2026/27 – this year taking home the Gold Award for Outstanding Excellence in Dog Training Service Of Excellence! 🥇

This follows on from last year’s win for Dog Training Company of the Year – London and South East England and to be recognised again, back-to-back, means the world to us.

The Prestige Awards don’t hand out recognition lightly. Their judging process goes into real depth, assessing:

To be judged against all of that, and come out on top, two years in a row, is something we are incredibly proud of.

We were actually told about this win earlier in the year and were invited to attend the awards ceremony to celebrate, but unfortunately neither of us were able to make it this time round. That was going to be our moment to share the news with you all in person, so we are just as excited to be telling you now!

With so much competition in dog training around us, this award means so much, it’s confirmation that the hard work, dedication, and love we put into every dog and every client really does make a difference.

🧠🐾 YOUR DOG’S BRAIN IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THEIR BODY.

Some dogs love learning new things.

Some get bored easily.

Some need a little more to think about.

And some are older dogs who still absolutely love a challenge.

That’s exactly why we created our Cognitive Skills Course.

This isn’t about teaching your dog a long list of cues.

It’s about giving them problems to solve, choices to make and challenges that make you see just how clever your dog really is. 🧠

Over 6 weeks we’ll explore:

🐾 Wriggles, questions & lots of puppy chat! 🐾

This week we were back at Mulberry House Vets in Binfield for one of our Puppy Hints & Tips evenings, and it was lovely to see such a great mix of puppies.

Some were busy exploring and practising their puppy skills, some were watching from the sidelines, and others were doing their very best impression of a tiny furry tornado! 😂

And that’s exactly what these evenings are about, real puppies, real questions and practical help.

We talked through some of the things that can leave new puppy owners wondering “Is this normal?” and “What should I do?”

There was lots of troubleshooting, some great questions and plenty of those little “Ahhh, that makes sense!” moments.
