This fun and friendly course will help you get your puppy off to a great start with basic foundational skills and socialisation.

We use only kind, force-free, effective methods for training and handling.

Sessions are delivered in our sand school, fields and indoor training room so that you have access to realistic and varied settings.

Puppies must be 12 weeks plus and have completed their immunisations.

I know a few of you would like to be in a group so let me know if these dates work for you. I feel that a novice group would be a good start, especially as my Sunday group are working at a more advanced level.

We will be progressing our off lead heel, recall, send outs and retrieve for those who want to.
Additionally, we will do some searching work.

Fun Nose Work & Scent Detection Classes - Beginners
Starting Monday 15th June 6pm
4 weekly sessions of 60mins

Dogs from 20 weeks of age

During this course your dog will get to use their innate scenting super powers and develop search and problem solving skills.

Starting with food targets, we will teach the dogs to search small areas and build their confidence and stamina. We will introduce the dogs to odour, learn how to produce a passive indicator and progress to working in more varied and challenging spaces.

The benefits of scent work for both you and your dog are massive:

Basic equipment such as scent and containers, and treats will be provided for you to use and explore in class.
Owners should bring dogs with a harness/collar and both a one metre lead and a longer lead as well.
If your dog has allergies or food intolerances, please bring suitable treats.

All training is force-free and reward based and sessions will be delivered on the outskirts of Billingshurst.

Numbers will be limited. This course is for dogs are are at ease around other dogs - I will do a dedicated scent course for owners of reactive dogs if required - just ask!

This course is for dogs of 6months and older who may have gaps in their training and would benefit from some foundational skills.
