👥️👥️ This week’s highlights are… GROUP PHOTOS! 👥️👥️

Group photos are some of our most rewarding photos to take… but also some of the trickiest!

It takes:

😵‍💫 Convincing more than four dogs to sit and stay for longer than 0.5 seconds.

👀 Getting everyone to look at the camera at exactly the same time—using a distraction exciting enough to grab their attention, but not so exciting that they all come charging towards us!

💅 Making sure everyone is positioned at their most flattering angle while still complementing the dogs around them.

🐎 And, of course, there’s always one who looks everywhere except at the camera, refuses to sit or decides to move just as we take the photo!

Despite all that, we still managed to capture the perfect shots 👏

Last week we had a blast with our Back to School theme, and you voted for the photo most deserving of the number one studious spot! 📚

Well done to Jack, who won with this terrific photo of Cookie, Jazzy and Teddy 🥳

Every friendship group needs the perfect mix of personalities, and this trio has it covered:

🍪 Cookie — the outgoing friend who guarantees you’ll have fun, even when nothing is planned. Also the one most likely to get you all sent to detention if you’re not careful! 🤣

📖 Jazzy — the relaxed friend whose shoulder is always there when you need it. You’ll always know where to find her too… either in the library or asleep on the sofa!

🤓 Teddy — the smartest of the bunch, armed with a fun fact for every niche topic. Definitely the angel on your shoulder and the voice of reason in the group!

🎒📚 THIS WEEK’S HIGHLIGHTS: BACK TO SCHOOL! 📚🎒

September’s here, the kids are back at school… and apparently so are the dogs. 😂

Harry’s might be open 365 days a year, but after a summer of holiday boarders living like they’re at an all-inclusive resort, we thought a bit of routine was needed! 🤣

Obviously you can’t go back to school without a fresh haircut, so Jess has been busy in Harry’s Hounds Parlour getting everyone looking dapper for those all-important school photos! 📸

As for the class…

🍗 Caught dealing treats behind the bike sheds
🐿️ Education ended the second a squirrel appeared outside
💨 Still doing laps of the playground shouting “YOU CAN’T CATCH ME!”
😇 Sitting beautifully while their best mate takes the blame for something they definitely started

Anya’s winning photo from last week 😂 and I absolutely LOVE this one!

Rupert and Beau peeking through while she was making the food during their holiday with us 😂 Couldn’t sum these two up better if we tried!

Rupert is just a big gentle softy. So laid back, so loveable and honestly just the loveliest boy. Although get him out on a walk and he turns into an absolute racehorse 😂 His recall is SO good now and I just adore him. The ladies seem to love him too!!

And then there’s Beau 😂 When he’s tired he is honestly the cutest thing ever. Gives the BEST cuddles and butter wouldn’t melt… but when he’s on one, he is CHEEKY 😂 Annoying everyone, starting games of chase and generally getting the whole party going! Although no one ever actually catches him 🤣

The difference in these two since they started coming twice a week is unbelievable. They absolutely love their time here, know the routine, know us, know all their friends and genuinely treat the place like their second home — exactly how it should be ❤️

They’re back home now after their holidays, but safe to say they had the best time!

As usual, it’s been another busy week at Harry’s Hounds! 🐾

Between keeping all these pups entertained, getting out on our adventures and trying to capture this week’s theme, we’re definitely ready for a restful bank holiday weekend! 😴☀️

🧈 BUTTER WOULDN’T MELT 🧈

You know the look… 👀

The big innocent eyes. The sweet little face. The expression that says, “Me? Cause trouble? Never…” 😇

Meanwhile, we know full well that some of these “innocent” little faces were probably up to absolute mischief approximately 30 seconds before the camera came out. 😂

But this week, we’re ignoring their previous offences and judging purely on photographic evidence! 📸

So, who has mastered the ultimate butter-wouldn’t-melt expression?

Well done Harry for winning this week’s Highlights with this hilarious shot of Bean (top) and Jazzy (bottom)! 😂

These two are absolutely hilarious together. They’re completely infatuated with each other’s quirkiness (as you can tell 🤣). Out of all the dogs we have here, these two would 100% run off into the sunset together if given the chance!

This pair most certainly deserves the winning spot for the goofiest post!

Happy Friday, everyone! ☀️ I’m sure we’re all glad the weekend is here, with plenty of sunshine to enjoy and relax in after another busy week.

Now, to announce this week’s Highlight Winner… Well done to Luke, with a crystal-clear win for this perfect shot of Rafa! 📸

Rafa has been boarding with us for a while now, and he’s been loving every second of being surrounded by all his friends. He’s such a wiggle bum and sometimes acts as though he has absolutely no joints restricting his movement! 😂 If he were human, he would most certainly be a yoga instructor with how flexible he is! 🧘‍♂️

Rafa truly embodies what we try to create for all our dogs — a daycare that’s both fun and calming. A little school where they can meet their mates, muck about, be themselves and, most importantly, feel truly seen and loved. ❤️
