🐾 An Update on Mikey 🐾

We have an update on our brave little Mikey. ❤️

Mikey went back to the vets today for his two-week check-up following his FHO (Femoral Head and Neck Excision) surgery.

The good news is that his wound is healing beautifully! 🥰

Unfortunately, the bad news is that he has lost all nerve function in his foot and is now dragging it. Our vet has advised there is an 80% chance he may need his leg amputated to prevent further damage. 💔

Mikey is still in such high spirits, though, and he has found a very special friend in Billy. ❤️

Billy originally came into rescue as a stray, and both boys were separately very lonely. We decided to put them together, and it has been a huge success! 🥹🐾 They have become the best of friends and will eventually be rehomed together.

Mikey returns to the vets next Friday, when we will make the final decision about his leg.

Please keep our brave boy, and his best friend Billy, in your thoughts. ❤️🐾
