I love what I do, but there is a part of it which undeniably sucks! When the dogs get old or ill and pass away I feel absolutely gutted and I have been known to cry over some of my longest standing clients when they have gone over the rainbow bridge.
A couple of weeks ago I groom Peri, a little rescue dog who his owners adored. They let me know he had just been diagnosed with cancer but the vets had him on some meds to try and help him. Sadly it was to be and his lovely owners had to say goodbye 😢 then last night I got the message that one of the little ones I groomed on saturday had also gone to doggie heaven, lovely little Sherbet. She was blind but the goodest of girls 🥰 always so steady and impeccably well behaved.
I am sad that we have lost 2 such sweet dogs and my heart goes out to both owners. I may not be a big part of their lives but all the dogs I groom and get to know are a massive part of mine so run free at rainbow bridge Peri & Sherbet, tell all my past dogs how much i love and miss them.x

Ok i promised and update and here it is.
I have managed to get a business loan to pay for the repairs to the van! The van is in the garage and its just a waiting game.
I am not making any appointments at the moment because I do not want to let anyone down or mess them around with dates. I know I messaged everyone to let them know I couldn't afford to get the van fixed again and encourage you all to find an alternative groomer however if anyone would like to come back to me you will of course be welcomed with open arms, if you have found another groomer and want to stay with them I totally understand 💖
Regrettably there is going to have to be a price increase to help me cover these loan repayments and so with immediate effect anyone between biggleswade to Stevenage will be subject to a £5 increase and any clients further than stevenage will have a £10 increase. I hope you all can understand and will continue to support me but of the increase takes my services out of your price range and you need to source a cheaper service I totally understand and if I can help you find a nice groomer i will absolutely assist you in any way in can.
I would like to also say thank you to all of you who offered such kind words when my whole world seemed to be crashing round my feet and wondering how i was going to come back from this. I appreciate you all 🥰 stay tuned for the next update which will hopefully have a date for definite return of services.

Its been a minute....I do have a little update to share with you but for now I want to take a moment to appreciate this wonderful lady Fay Deans who is just the kindest and most beautiful soul ❤️ these incredible people came into my life many years ago as a client of the salon I worked at. They moved and I moved on but they stayed with me and even now they travel to me in Biggleswade all the way from Surrey, that's commitment! I adore Dolly and even as she enters those golden years she is still a gorgeous girl who im always happy to see. Her mum in a million always brings me a gift of some sort and although not necessary its always appreciated, im so touched by your kindness. Not to forget her dad in a million who drives them all the way up to see me. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that I had such special and fabulous clients 🥰 thank you 😘💗

Hi all,
Its been a while.....
So the situation is this:
Since last September i have been plagued with van issues which costed in excess of £7000 😭
Unfortunately it would appear that I have been conned by some rogue traders along the way and now the van has broken down again and its looking like a reconditioned engine at £4500 is the only fix. Im not going to lie, I dont have £4500. Every single penny I have had and more that was borrowed off of family has gone into that van, the pot is empty 😔
I have Unfortunately lost clients over the last 9 months of issues and I do understand, although its not my fault to some I am just unreliable and that absolutely kills me 😭 some of those i am genuinely gutted to lose, dogs that I love dearly and enjoy seeing them and to know someone else gets to be their groomer really sucks if im honest.

Right now I dont really know what to do. For now I am trying to muddle through as best I can by offering the 3 options that are available to me,
1) the van is stationary at my home in Biggleswade and people are more than welcome to bring their dogs to me there.
2) for clients who are relatively local I can offer a collection and delivery service.
3) in some cases I can offer in house mobile grooming however I appreciate this is not for everyone and does not suit people with double coated breeds.

Outside of this i can only suggest finding another local groomer and I will try to help with that if necessary.

Going forward, I am trying to weigh up my options, I cannot continue pouring money into this van, I cannot afford a new one and maybe going forward I will be better off saving to get a shop, I just dont know 😔

I would like to say thank you to the groomers who have stepped in and helped out so clients weren't left in the lurch, thank you to the clients who have been so kind and understanding and done all they can to help me continue doing what I love.

At the moment I feel rather defeated and just trying to keep my head above water as obviously the bills do not stop just because the van has.
Im trying to get in touch with everyone but at the moment its been a day by day basis as things evolve.
