Well this was a nice surprise to find in my inbox 🥳 Having only run the DemonPony twice this season, I definitely was not expecting to be 26th out of 150+ on the leaderboard.

Sadly, we won’t be attending the CC Champs this year. With how firm the ground has been, Dilys isn’t as fit as I would like, and whilst I have had the opportunity to rectify that, truth be told when I learnt the event was not running as a 3-day long format for this year, it somewhat dampened my enthusiasm for the whole thing. Roads and Tracks plus the Steeplechase is what makes the championships special for me.

So we’ll be giving it a miss for 2027. Hopefully doing one or two events elsewhere before the season is out. And I *may* entertain the idea of taking her Team Chasing 😬

A very good looking one, but my goodness Boo is tall and square ⬆️⏹️ Not sure how we’re going to fit this one through the flags at those nasty skinny triple brushes at Burghley 🤔

Bestest boy Jude is officially a ridden pony 😇🤎

Today was his first go at being ridden in the arena, having done a little walking and jogging up and down the yard over the past few days. He was, of course, a very good boy, particularly as Emma and I were having a role reversal and it would seem I’m not a very good ground person 🤣

Demon pony had a fun run at Costa del Waverton House today ☀️🥵

A rather distracted dressage -didn’t take her long to figure out the XC was on the other side of the hedge alongside our arena 🤦‍♀️ Plus I may have forgotten the second canter so got beeped 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤣 Pleasantly surprised to see we were awarded 33.3

Couple poles down in the SJ. I rode crap to the big oxer, and she got distracted by some kids sitting next to the final combination.

Seems to be a common theme occurring here! 🤔

However, we did get our 💩 together for XC and she gave me the most wonderful, bold spin round a really fun, inviting track 💪 The ground was perfect, so I Iet the handbrake off and then quickly regretted doing so as she launched a big table and didn’t even register there was a skinny Part B until a couple strides out. Some very honest manoeuvring from Dilys got us between the flags, and I took a few pulls later around the course to prevent her from going completely flat out feral 😆 Clear with .8 a time fault, which I’m sure she’s furious about! However good enough for 4th 💪
