Your dog’s good welfare is very important to succeed in your training, which is why it is crucial that you discuss any concerns you may have about your dog with your veterinary practice to rule out medical issues before contacting any dog training professional.

🥳 Congratulations Ingenious Puppy Class Graduates 🥳

Last week, these wonderful puppy guardians and their pups collected their certificates and rosettes to conclude puppy class 🤩 It's been 6 weeks of learning and fun, of lovely sunny weather and speedy recalls. I think the smiles say it all 😄

It's been a pleasure to get to know you and your pups on the class, and I'm looking forward to future updates of your adventures and successes. ❤

The puppies include a red Labrador, an Italian greyhound, a lemon roan cocker spaniel, a red labradoodle and white and brown miniature schnauzer. A little banner in the middle reads "Huge Congratulations! Ingenious Puppy Class May '26".

Puppy classes are magical 😍

From week to week, I have the privilege to watch these little pups develop in confidence and life skills. Each pup is on a very individual journey of learning to navigate this crazy world we live in. It's no easy feat, and they are excelling! 😁

More pictures from my recent visit at Carr House Dog Rescue Hull, where I spent the morning meeting all the dogs in rescue and providing them with some time exploring some items, playing with toys and snuffling out treats. 🥰

It was a great way to get to know their individual personalities better. They're all wonderful, and I wish I was in a position to adopt them all 😂

I couldn't have done it without the help of friends who volunteered their time (and hands) to pet all the dogs, so thank you to them as well 😊

I've had the pleasure to meet these pups twice and they're observant, cuddly, smart and will make wonderful companions to their future people.

They'll be looking for active homes who are also patient and dedicated to stimulating their smart but sensitive minds!

And of course I'm very much looking forward to seeing some of these pups in puppy classes in June 😍

❓ Did you know? ❓ Rescue dogs make fabulous companions, but get a lot less interest than commercially bred puppies! That's why any dogs from a "rescue" background benefit from a 50% discount on any number of my private and group classes with the code FRESHSTART within the first 6 months of their adoption. Consider adopting a dog❤️

Please help!
Spread the word that putting hands in food bowls and pulling food away from dogs INCREASES aggressive behavior.
Dropping food in the bowl as you walk by DECREASES aggressive behavior. Now we even have research to support this. Please help get the word out.

I spent some time visiting and spoiling the dogs up for adoption at Carr House Dog Rescue Hull today!

They are all very sweet and smart dogs, who are being very well cared for by the team at Carr House Dog Rescue Hull. I know they will thrive in their new homes, and now need to be seen and found by their families.

More pictures and videos to follow soon, but please give Carr House Dog Rescue Hull a follow 🥰

My very own handsome ex-street dog 🥰

Muzzle training is so important for ALL dogs, as it's there to help them stay safe. It is a preventative skill for life!

Even puppies on my puppy class get to practise sticking their faces in muzzles for treats, so it is something fun from the start.

Here, Djukey is wearing muzzle from The Muzzle Movement, which I'm so proud to be supporting through their Just in Case campaign. ⭐️

Also a huge thank you and shout-out to Peel Vets who have been amazing at taking care of him!

Meet Djuke🐾

When Djuke visited the Beverley practice recently for surgery, we were all incredibly impressed with how well muzzle trained he was. He had a comfy, well-fitting muzzle which he was happy to wear all day, have put on and taken off. ⭐

Muzzle training is so important for all dogs. Even the friendliest, most well-socialised dog can feel uncertain in a foreign place, with people they don't know and especially if they are in pain and/or disorientated from anaesthetic. Muzzles are a tool we must sometimes use to keep everyone safe, and if your pet is already accustomed to wearing one, it stops it from adding additional stress.

Feel free to call or message if you would like any additional advice on muzzle training.
