Just six minutes of reading could reduce stress by up to 68% 📖

We're taking part in Six Minute Reads, a project from Edinburgh City of Literature in partnership with the Literacy Trust, as part of the National Year of Reading 2026.

The idea is to encourage us all to make a little time for reading and your bus journey is a good opportunity to give it a go!

Our on-board posters have a QR code linking to a free collection of short stories from some of Scotland’s best-known writers, including Ian Rankin and Val McDermid.

Look out for the posters on your next journey and scan the QR code to enjoy a short story along the way.

Be Safe, Be Seen.

As the evenings get darker, it can be harder for our drivers to spot people waiting at bus stops, especially in rural areas where there may be little or no street lighting!

If you're travelling after dark, a few simple things can make a real difference:
• Carry a torch or use your phone's light
• Wear something bright or reflective if you can
• Give the driver a clear signal as the bus approaches

We want to make sure everyone gets home safely, and being more visible helps our drivers see you sooner and stop safely.

Thank you for helping us keep our roads and communities safe this winter!
