🚌 Meet Ely

Before joining us, Ely worked as an admin assistant and was looking for a change of direction.

Almost a year into life behind the wheel, she talks about what she enjoys about the job, including the independence it gives her and the flexibility and support that help her balance work with family life.

Her 11-year-old son is also a big fan of her career change. He loves buses and thinks seeing his mum behind the wheel is a dream! 💙

💙 Supporting Berwick & District Cancer Support Group

We’re proud to be supporting Berwick & District Cancer Support Group, a fantastic local charity helping people across the area at a time when they need it most.

Run entirely by volunteers and funded through public donations, the charity provides free transport for people travelling to cancer-related appointments and treatment, as well as additional wellbeing support through its Butterfly Touch initiative.

You might spot some of our Borders Buses team with collection buckets over the coming weeks, so if you’re able to donate, every contribution will help support the brilliant work they do in our local community. 💙

💙 Happy Retirement, David! 🚌

After five wonderful years driving with us at Borders Buses in Berwick, and many more years dedicated to public transport, David is heading off on a well-earned retirement.

Throughout his time with us, David has been a valued member of the team, known for his hard work, reliability and commitment. He'll be greatly missed by colleagues and passengers alike.
