Meet Harry, a gorgeous 16-week-old Irish Wolfhound who came to visit me! 🥹💚

Just LOOK at the size of those paws already!! 🐾😭 And he’s still only a baby!

🇮🇪 Little Irish Wolfhound fact:
The Irish Wolfhound is one of Ireland’s ancient native breeds and is known as one of the tallest dog breeds in the world! They were historically bred in Ireland to hunt wolves and other large game, and were so highly valued that they were even given as gifts to royalty. 👑🍀

Despite their enormous size, they’re famous for being gentle, affectionate giants. 💚

Safe to say I’m going to LOVE watching Harry grow — I might need a bigger grooming room by the time he’s fully grown though! 😂🐺🐾

Yesterday we said goodbye to our beautiful Wanda after 13 years together.

I’m sure plenty of you will remember seeing her wandering around the property when dropping off or collecting your dogs — and there’s a good chance she gave your pup a wee hiss while she was at it. She had absolutely no fear. Dogs coming and going from her house? She couldn’t have cared less. What a woman.

She was full of attitude, personality and sass right until the end, and our home is going to feel incredibly strange without her in it.

13 years of treats, swipes, scratches, hunting, hissing and being completely and unapologetically Wanda. 🤍

Rest easy, Wanda. What a woman you were.

🐾 A Friendly Reminder About My Flea Policy 🐾

If I find even just one live flea on your dog during their appointment, there will be an additional £10 charge.

This is because I have to:
🛁 Carry out a flea bath
🧼 Deep clean and disinfect the entire grooming area
💨 Use flea bombs/treatments to protect the salon and other dogs. The cost of a flea bomb is £9 each time. Flea spray is £25 for two bottles.
⏰ Allow extra time between appointments for cleaning.

Additionally sometimes I will have to cancel the rest of my appointments for the day to ensure the fleas won’t spread.

Please don’t be embarrassed if your dog has fleas—it can happen to anyone. 💚 I just ask that you’re honest if you know your dog has them, as it helps me prepare and protects every dog that comes through my door.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping me keep the salon clean, safe and flea-free for everyone 🐶🐾

Things are going really well at The Grooming Garden at the minute and I’m so grateful for how busy you’re all keeping me! 🥹💚

I just wanted to recommend booking your appointments in advance, especially if you like a particular day or time, as I actually have quite limited availability throughout September and October already! 📅🐶

If your pup is on a regular 6–8 week grooming schedule, it might be worth booking their next appointment (or even the next couple!) ahead of time so you get the slot that suits you best.

📢🐾 APPOINTMENT UPDATE 🐾📢

Unfortunately, my clippers have decided to completely give up on me today 😭✂️

My partner is currently trying his best to fix them, but it looks like they need a new part that he won’t be able to get until tomorrow.

Because of this, I’m really sorry but I’m going to have to reschedule today’s appointments to spaces during the week. 💚

This is completely out of my hands and definitely not how I wanted to spend my Sunday! 😭 I’ll be messaging everyone affected individually to arrange a new appointment as soon as possible.

I’m so sorry for the inconvenience and thank you so much for understanding! 🐶💚🐾

Hopefully the clippers will be back from the dead tomorrow 😂✂️🔧
