Some feed barriers up to help over the long winter!

20/08/2026

A look behind the scenes at one of our latest modular barn builds.

This one is still a work in progress, but we wanted to share a bit of the assembly and installation before showing the finished barn.

The barn measures 36ft x 24ft, with three spacious 12ft x 12ft stables and a passageway running along the front.

The full structure, including the roof frame and supporting pillars, is hot-dip galvanised for long-term protection against corrosion. The client chose a black powder coat finish over the galvanised steel for the stables, pillars and internal dividers.

The stables are finished with carbonised laminated bamboo infill — extremely durable, weather resistant and designed to stand up to everyday use around horses.

To keep as much natural light in the barn as possible, we've included a 60cm polycarbonate window running along the top of the external panels, along with polycarbonate gable windows at either end.

Sliding barn doors finish both ends of the passageway, with stainless steel finger latch locks and plenty of other small details throughout.

Roofing and a few finishing touches still to go…

We'll show you around the finished barn in the next video 📹

A recent stable project completed 🐴

A practical, modern, stable setup designed to make everyday yard work that little bit easier — particularly through the winter months.

This project features:

• Sliding stable fronts with distinctive V-shaped openings
• Rotating feeders incorporated into each stable front
• Large opening stable windows for ventilation and natural light
• Sliding dividing walls, allowing the stables to be opened up for quick and convenient cleaning out
• Curved internal partitions for a more open, horse-friendly design
• Full-panel dividers along the gable end
• Large matching barn entrance doors

The entire yard is finished in hot-dip galvanised steel with durable tongue & groove bamboo infill, creating a finish that's built for the demands of a working yard while still looking exceptionally smart.

Designed around the horses. Built around the way the yard works.

We’re delighted to have worked with at on the latest addition to his growing yard, supplying a range of custom-sized stable fronts, feeding barriers and hinged partitions.

Both the stable fronts and feeding barriers are finished in hot-dip galvanised steel, with matching tongue-and-groove bamboo infill, combining durability with a clean, modern finish.

The custom hinged stable partitions are designed to fold neatly back between the water troughs, feed pots and hay racks — making daily cleaning and yard management considerably more time and labour efficient, particularly in a busy professional yard.

Much like the way he produces his horses, Michael’s attention to detail is evident throughout the project. The result is a safe, secure and highly practical environment for the horses, without compromising on appearance.

We’re proud to have worked with Michael on the latest addition to his growing yard and look forward to seeing many more top horses produced at Ballybride Stables in the years to come.

We recently headed down to the stallion show at Ballypatrick Stables and had a brilliant day.

Great to spot some of our customised pieces in place, and we really appreciated the chance to showcase our range — from stable fronts and jumping wings to tack lockers and feed bins.

We’re always looking to keep improving and pushing our designs forward, so it was a real inspiration seeing such an impressive lineup of stallions, damlines, and sport horses.

Thanks to the team for having us 🙌
