⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️

Warning all dog owners and walkers to be vigilant when walking in CRAWFORDSBURN. We have been informed that the river feeding onto the beach appears to be heavily contaminated with some sort of pollutant. Dead fish have been seen floating in discoloured water.

Please do not allow your dogs near this water. Do not allow them to swim or paddle in the contaminated river or in the sea at the beach due to contamination.

Contaminated water can cause severe vomiting and diarrhoea at best, but depending on what the pollutant is it could cause death.

*Edited to add*
‼️Regardless of whether the water is contaminated with a pollutant or not, stagnant water poses just as much risk to pets. ‼️

⚠️ Please avoid. ⚠️

🌈 Run free, sweet Gunther 🌈

This week we lost a very special boy. Gunther, big G crossed the rainbow bridge, and our hearts are heavy.

Gunther was part of the Dogs NI family for many years, and it was truly an honour to care for him and his lovely sister, Gracie. He brought so much warmth, joy, and personality with him every time we saw him (and anyone who knew Gunther knows he was a bit of a frisky lad too). We have no doubt he’s up in doggy heaven now, full of mischief and very much getting up to his old romantic tricks.

Our thoughts are with Gunther’s family during this heartbreaking time. ❤️‍🩹Thank you for trusting us with him and allowing us to be part of his life, it meant more to us than words can say.

Rest easy, big son. You will be so deeply missed 💛🐾
