Do you know which vaccinations your cat needs, and when they need them?

Vaccinations help protect cats against serious infectious diseases and are an important part of routine preventative care. Keeping them up to date also gives your veterinary team a chance to review your cat’s health and make sure their vaccination schedule is right for them.

Our helpful vaccination guide explains what to expect and when your cat may need their vaccinations.

🦷The importance of dental xrays🦷

Yesterday Vet Kelly's cat Tinks had a dental, because Kelly had noticed her gums were inflammed. Kelly started with a descale to remove the tartar, and upon 1st inspection, there were no obvious extractions needed. However after dental xrays were perfomed, Kelly could see that one of the roots of two teeth, were showing signs of resorption (a painful, progressive dental condition where the body’s cells break down and dissolve the hard structures of a tooth, including the roots).

These teeth were therefore extracted, and means that Tinks has a comfortable mouth again.

This is why we perform dental xrays in all our patients having a dental procedure; sometimes dental disease starts below the gumline. Most animals don't show signs of dental pain, Tinks was eating fine, but that doesn't mean they are not in pain!

If you have any questions about our dental procedures, or about your pets teeth, then contact us 01227 832322 or [email protected]
