Hi, my name is Craig Avery and I've had the immense pleasure of successfully working with over 1500 clients and their dogs on a one to one basis over the past decade as a dog behaviourist. "If you don’t make your own dreams a reality you’ll forever work at making some else’s a reality". This quote inspired me to take action and make my own dreams a reality, and I couldn't be happier with the path I've chosen. I'm proud to say that I found the courage to pursue my true calling and become a dog behaviourist what seems like a lifetime ago. By dedicating myself to my passion, I know that I have the power to positively impact the lives of countless dogs and their human companions and am excited to keep chasing my dreams and making a difference in the world.

Happy Father’s Day to the main man, Craig! It’s Julie here!!

When you don’t have children, people sometimes don’t understand that the love you have for your dogs isn’t “just” love for a pet.

They are family. They fill your home, your heart, and your life in ways that are impossible to explain unless you’ve lived it.

As a dog behaviourist, Craig spends his days helping dogs and the people who love them. But at home, nobody adores him more than our own dogs. The way they jump up when he walks into a room, follow him everywhere, and look at him as if he’s their whole world says everything about the kind of man he is.

Today we celebrate the incredible dog dads who love, care for, and show up for their dogs every single day.

And I’m also thinking of anyone who finds today difficult — whether you’re missing someone, grieving a beloved dog, as Craig is for Khaleesi, longing for children, missing a Dad or carrying a sadness that others may not see.

Be gentle with yourself today.

Happy Father’s Day, Craig. The dogs and I are very lucky to have you. ❤️

I was delighted to be invited onto BBC Radio Scotland’s morning show on Tuesday to discuss a topic that was sure to get dog owners talking…

Should dogs sleep on the bed?

From a behavioural perspective, it all comes down to the individual dog and their owners. There is no one-size-fits-all answer. For some dogs and families it works perfectly well, while for others it can contribute to issues that need addressed.

We had a chat about the pros, the cons, and some of the myths that still surround dogs sharing our beds.

For anyone wondering where I stand on the subject…, I’ll let this photo speak for itself! 😂🐾

I’m really proud to have recently partnered with Barratt Homes on a feature discussing how moving house can affect dogs and the simple things owners can do to help make that transition easier.

It was great to contribute some insight into an area that’s often overlooked. For many dogs, moving home isn’t exciting… it can be confusing. New environment, new smells, disrupted routine and all things that can have a real impact on behaviour and wellbeing if not handled properly.

A big thank you to Barratt Homes and BIG Partnership for bringing me on board for this.
