🐾✨ Dexter’s First Puppy Groom! ✨🐾

Look at this little superstar! 🥹 The adorable Dexter came in for his first full puppy trim, and he absolutely smashed it! 👏💙

Before his groom, Dexter had a gentle puppy introduction visit, giving him the chance to explore the salon, meet me, hear the sounds, and experience some of the grooming process without the pressure of a full haircut.

For his first proper groom, we took things at Dexter’s pace, introducing each part of the process calmly and positively — from the bath and blow-dry to brushing, handling, clipping and trimming. And what a little champ he was! ⭐️

We decided on a longer, soft teddy-bear trim to keep that gorgeous puppy fluff and charm while still giving him a neat, fresh finish. 🧸✂️✨

I always believe a puppy’s first grooming experiences should be about building confidence, trust and positive associations. Taking the time to introduce them gradually can make such a difference to how they feel about grooming as they grow. 🐶💕

Sweet Louie’s first grooming visit 🐾💛

As this was Louie’s very first time at the groomers, we took things nice and slowly. Instead of jumping straight into a full groom, we gave him a gentle de-shed treatment and introduced him to the sights, sounds and feel of the dryers so he could build confidence in a calm, positive way.

Taking a step-by-step approach can make such a difference, especially for dogs who weren’t introduced to grooming from an early age. By creating positive experiences now, we’re setting Louie up to feel comfortable and relaxed when he comes back for his full groom next time. ✨🐶
