🐾💗 Meet Willow! 💗🐾

This lovely girl is Willow, a 10-month-old Cavapoo who came to see vet Rebecca after developing an unsettled stomach.

As you can see, Willow didn’t seem at all bothered by her visit and appeared to rather enjoy all the extra attention! 🥰🐶

We hope you’re feeling much better soon, Willow! 💕🐾

🐾💙 Going... going... going... done! 😴🐶

This sleepy sweetheart is Alfie, a 9-week-old Labrador who came to see vet Maria for his first vaccinations. 💉🐾

It is clearly very tiring being quite this cute, and Alfie decided that the scales were the perfect place for a little nap! 😴 Just look at him! 🥰

🐾💙 Meet Cosmo! 💙🐾

This sweet little one is Cosmo, who came to see vet Rebecca for the first part of his vaccination course. 💉🐱

He’ll be back in 3–4 weeks for his second vaccination, helping to protect him against important diseases including cat flu and feline leukaemia.

We’re looking forward to watching Cosmo grow into a handsome young cat! 🥰🐾

If you’d like to find out more about cat vaccinations, visit our website, which has a wealth of information about this and many other aspects of pet health and care.

🐾🐱 Saturday Caturday! Spot the Kitten! 🐱🐾

Well, Rupert and Elsie have allowed a special guest to feature this week... introducing naughty (we don't believe a word of it) Teacake! 😹

Teacake was helping her human change the bed and, as you can see from the photos, she was doing a fabulous job! 🛏️🐾

We’re not entirely sure how much actual bed-changing was taking place, but Teacake certainly looks like she was taking her supervisory duties very seriously! 😂

🍂⚠️ Autumn Hazards: Antifreeze ⚠️🍂

As the weather gets cooler, antifreeze becomes an important hazard to be aware of, particularly for cats and dogs.

Antifreeze contains ethylene glycol, which has an attractive sweet taste but is extremely toxic and can be fatal even in very small quantities.

🔒 Keep antifreeze, screen wash and other products containing ethylene glycol safely out of reach, and clean up any spills immediately.

🚨 If you think your pet may have been exposed to antifreeze, contact a vet immediately. Prompt treatment is essential, even if your pet appears well.

Available 24 hours a day for advice about suspected poisoning.

🐾💙 Meet Mr Pickles! 💙🐾

This lovely lad is Mr Pickles the Labradoodle, who came to see vet Maria for his annual booster vaccination. 💉🐶

We managed to get this lovely photo of him at the reception desk — what a handsome chap! 📸🥰

As well as his vaccination, Mr Pickles had a thorough health check and, as a member of our Acorn Health Club, took his next lot of prescription flea and worming treatment home with him too. 🐾💚

It was lovely to see you, Mr Pickles! 💙

🎃🍫 Autumn Hazards: Halloween Treats 🍫🎃

With Halloween approaching, remember that the treats we enjoy can be dangerous for our pets.

🍫 Chocolate is toxic to dogs and cats, while some sugar-free sweets and other products contain xylitol (also known as birch sugar), which is highly toxic to dogs and can cause a rapid drop in blood sugar and potentially serious liver damage.

👻 Keep Halloween treats securely stored and remind children never to share sweets or chocolate with pets.

🚨 If you think your pet has eaten something potentially toxic, contact your vet immediately, even if they appear well. Some toxins can cause serious problems before obvious signs develop.

☎️ Animal PoisonLine: 01202 509000
Available 24 hours a day for advice about suspected poisoning.

If your pet is already showing signs of illness, please contact your veterinary practice immediately.

🐾💗 Meet Bella! 💗🐾

This lovely lady is Bella, who came to see vet Katharine for a re-check appointment — and we couldn’t resist capturing this wonderful photo of her! 📸🥰

Can you believe that Bella is 16 years old? We think she’s looking absolutely amazing! 💕🐶

As our pets get older, regular health checks become increasingly important. Routine check-ups allow us to monitor their health, spot changes early and help keep our senior pets feeling their best for as long as possible. 🩺🐾

Keep being fabulous, Bella! 💗
