This post makes me feel a bit sick to share because it makes everything feel so real... but here goes.
I'm officially running the LONDON MARATHON for my dad 💙🧡
Out of 2,700 applications to run for the MND charity team, I got the phone call today to say I'd been offered a place. I still can't quite believe it.
And somehow, it got even better... James got a place too, so we'll be taking on the London Marathon together on the Sunday. Knowing we'll be able to do this side by side means everything.
Running 26.2 miles will undoubtedly be the hardest physical challenge we've ever taken on, but fundraising is going to be just as challenging. We each have an individual fundraising target of £2,700, with £750 to raise by 31 October to secure our places.
If you're able to support us, we'd be so incredibly grateful. Please, if you can, donate to both of our fundraising pages separately, as we each need to reach our own target. Every single donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer and means more than I can put into words.
Motor neurone disease has changed our lives forever, and I'm running every single mile for my dad. I know there will be tough training days and moments where I'll wonder what I've signed up for, but remembering why I'm doing this will keep me going.
Thank you so much to everyone who donates, shares our pages, or cheers us on along the way. Your support means the absolute world to both of us. ❤️
