🐾 Level Up Your Skills – Week 1! 🐾

What a great start to our new block! It was so good to see everyone back and ready to get stuck in. 💪🐶

We kicked things off by recapping the basics, including our engagement game, loose lead walking and practising those all-important handler skills. We even had a couple of our Level 2 dogs working off lead and walking beautifully to heel — fantastic progress! 👏

We then worked on:
✨ Building recall value and reward placement
✨ Using movement to create motivation
✨ Cooperative care and progressing our chin rest
✨ Stays — building duration, distraction and distance
✨ Finishing with our relaxation exercise to help everyone switch off and settle

A really positive first session back, with lots of great teamwork and some lovely progress already.

Jessie is very happy that the temperatures are finally looking a lot cooler next week! 🐶💜

That means our dog walks can return to their normal time slots, which also means my Jessie (and Jodie too!) will finally get to enjoy their proper walks again. 🥰🐾

With all my clients’ dogs needing early starts because of the heat, my own two have sadly missed out on their usual walks, or have only managed a quick little nip around the village.

So I think it’s safe to say Jessie is VERY excited to get back to normal! 😍🐕🌳
