We were privileged to have met Lucas, not just once this week but twice for his very special 18th birthday 🎈

He is a natural with the animals, and they were so relaxed, calm and happy in his care. Words aren’t enough to describe the feeling that our animals provide on these visits so I’ll just leave this beautiful photo here 🐾

Wow, I can’t believe the video of Donald arriving at his new home (and me crying) has reached over 19,000 viewers!!!!

What a mammoth amount I actually cannot believe it but we are thrilled that he has reached so many and made so many people feel warm and fuzzy with this happy ending ❤️

We’ve even been contacted by the local news!!!!

I’m just wondering if anyone has any idea about monetisation on social media? I’ve never done anything like this but I’m wondering if there’s any way of using social media to earn some extra pennies that we can put towards the animal feed bills and vet bills.

Does anyone have any information or any experience with this that they may be able to offer some guidance please?

One of my first questions is, for example, it says viewers can send stars to support us. What does that mean?

Have a great week everyone ☺️

UPDATE
Thank you so so much to everyone who shared, commented, liked and interacted with our post. It’s got such a huge reach that I’m so pleased to say Donald now has his amazing forever home lined up. We are going to facilitate picking him up and taking him to his new home on Wednesday ❤️

URGENT

Hi guys, please can you share this post, we are trying to help the owners of beautiful Donald the Drake, find a forever, loving home as they are unable to keep him and he is the only duck and getting lonely.

Unfortunately, we are unable to take him in here as we have little Falcon (the Call Duck).

Donald is local to Holsworthy I can help pick him up and bring him to his new home if needed.

He is really beautiful. The photo doesn’t do him justice. He is a cross Indian runner duck with another breed I’m unsure of.

He is approximately 6 months old, very friendly and confident.

Please can you say this post, and if you think of anyone who may be able to offer him a home please do tag. Thank you 🙏❤️

We've received a couple of very helpful deliveries this week, thank you to those who continue to support our cause and the animals we (and they) are very grateful for your support and care 🥰

Hey guys,
I find it really hard to ask others for help when all we strive to do is help others ourselves but we find ourselves in this position having to ask for support. We would feel much more comfortable if we could have a small stock area of supplies to go through but we tend to have a bag, open, feed it, then need to order another rather than having a back up supply. If the bank account is low, which is generally the case (it comes in and goes out the same day), then we have to try and spread out food ordering... it's not fun!!

We are a small not for profit organisation, we rescue animals in ned and give them their forever home whilst also offering Animal Assisted Therapy to adults and children who benefit from our support. These are by visiting residential homes, hospitals, schools, one to one sessions, group sessions and much more.

We've had a really hard couple of months now with meds, vets bills and supportive treatment to take care of our flock during the Blue Tongue Virus situation in Devon amongst growing feed bills.

Thankfully, following round the clock care, and loads of supportive treatment, love and extra chin scratches we have managed to see our flock through it and we send our love to all those around us who were sadly affected by it.

Please if anyone is able to support the sanctuary we desperately need the following feed top ups: -

- Rabbit food
- Guinea pig food
- Dry cat food (Iams)
- Wet cat food (Felix or Whiskas sachets) this is their fav!
- Supplements for the horses

We had managed to just about stay on top of our rising vet bill however our bank account is worryingly low, like practically empty and I have a £300 farrier bill to pay... maybe they'll let me do the dishes in return for the payment 😜

We are going through a big round bale of hay every 3-5 days (now measuring out the hay to try and reduce the use), but we strive to give the animals their best lives with no expense spared but it’s hard. We home over 110 animals now but we are having to turn away others just to get through the rising costs we face day to day. It’s hard, it’s stressful but we do it all, for them ❤️

Thank you for even just taking the time to read my post, do give us a follow ❤️ https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/68RNIKP8LY9Y?ref_=wl_share
