It's been radio silence from me for the last couple of weeks... My husband and I hit the pause button and enjoyed two weeks of downtime in lovely Portugal ☀️. It was bliss.

Can't wait to see you all soon! 🐶💖

Certified, refreshed, and ready! 🐾🩹

I'm pleased to share that I have renewed my Canine First Aid training!

I was delighted to return to the brilliant Pampers Grooming Academy (where I obtained all my training 3 years ago). It was an early morning start to drive to Stirling for the 7:00am class, but it was well worth the trip.

It's unfortunate that there is actually no legal obligation for dog groomers to hold a first aid qualification in Scotland at this time. To me, that's crazy! As a dog groomer, your dog’s safety, health, and comfort are always my absolute number one priority.

A dog grooming salon can be a busy environment for a dog, which can sometimes lead to stress and unpredictable behaviour.

While I do everything possible to prevent accidents, being prepared for the unexpected is essential.

By keeping my training refreshed and up-to-date with evidence-based safety methods, I can confidently:

• Spot early signs of stress, overheating, or medical distress.

• Act quickly and calmly in an emergency before reaching a vet.

• Administer critical care like CPR, choking relief, and wound management.. and more.

It is a qualification I hope I never have to use, but knowing I have these critical skills gives both me and you peace of mind. When your canine companion is on my grooming table, they are in safe, trained, and loving hands 🤲🏻❤️.

Well done Wyvis! Excellent co-operation for your first ever ultrasonic teeth clean. A little nervous at first, but kindness and patience is always rewarded.
Look at those beautiful teeth!

Another lovely week. Wagging tails, sing-songs, suds and showers. I adore welcoming each and every pup through the doors. The variety of personalities are beautifully entertaining 😂🥰.
