✨ A KIND FRESH START ✨

Just look at this lovely girl’s transformation! 🐾✂️

Her owner was understandably embarrassed about the condition of her coat, but there is absolutely no judgement here. Poodle-cross coats can be extremely difficult to maintain and can mat very quickly—especially when they are washed or get wet without being thoroughly brushed and dried afterwards.

Once matting becomes tight against the skin, trying to brush it out can be painful, stressful and unfair to the dog. In this case, the kindest and most comfortable option was to carefully clip the coat short, remove all the matting and give her a completely fresh start. Her welfare will always come before preserving the length of a coat.

Her owner now fully understands what her coat needs and how to keep on top of it between regular grooming appointments. That is what matters—not blame, but learning and moving forward.

She was an absolutely lovely girl and coped incredibly well throughout her groom. And just look at that beautiful little face now! 😍

A shorter coat is temporary, but her comfort is everything. ❤️🐶

WATCH TO THE END

🐾 WHEN A SIMPLE NAIL CLIP ISN’T SO SIMPLE 🐾

This lovely girl’s mum and dad specifically chose Delta’s Dog Room because of our experience with canine behaviour and dog psychology.

She has several behavioural challenges and finds many everyday experiences difficult—but, with the dedication of her owners, she is already making fantastic progress. ❤️

Both Mum and Dad stayed with her throughout today’s nail clip. We took everything slowly, remaining calm, kind and reassuring. Dad helped her stand securely on the table, giving her the extra confidence and stability she needed.

At one point, she tried her impressive “alligator roll,” hoping that turning upside down might bring proceedings to an end! We didn’t become cross or forceful, but we also didn’t teach her that panicking would automatically make us stop. Instead, we stayed patient, kept everyone safe and simply clipped her nails while she was upside down! 😊

Successful handling isn’t about expecting a dog to behave perfectly. It’s about understanding what she is communicating, adapting to the dog in front of us and gently showing her that she can cope.

Her nails were clipped, she remained safe and supported, and the experience ended positively. That is genuine progress, and she should be incredibly proud of herself. ⭐️

🐻 LITTLE BEAR’S FIRST BIG-BOY GROOM 🐻

Just look at this gorgeous little transformation! Little Bear is a seven-month-old Toy Poodle who visited us for his very first proper big-boy groom. ✂️🐾

At the moment, Bear still has his incredibly soft and fluffy puppy coat, rather than the tighter curls he may develop as his adult Poodle coat comes through. This can make young Poodles look wonderfully fluffy—but it also means regular brushing and early grooming visits are really important.

Introducing puppies to grooming from a young age helps them become comfortable with bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, scissors and having their paws and faces handled.

Bear was such a lovely little boy and coped brilliantly with the whole experience. Now he can see properly again—and doesn’t he look incredibly handsome? 😍

🐾 Kelly’s First Big-Girl Groom! ✂️🛁

Beautiful little Kelly the Cavapoo came to see us for her very first proper big-girl groom—and just look at her! 🥹💕

She was such a sweet girl and did brilliantly throughout her appointment. Introducing puppies to grooming while they’re young helps them become comfortable with the sounds, equipment and handling involved, making future visits much happier and less stressful.

Kelly left looking super smart, feeling fresh and showing off her gorgeous little face. Well done, Kelly—you were an absolute star! ⭐️🐶

🐾 Meet Lady, the gorgeous F1b Cavapoo! 🐾

Just look at the difference a good groom has made! Lady arrived with a very fluffy coat hiding her beautiful face—and left looking neat, fresh and absolutely adorable. ✂️😍

Those gorgeous eyes were hiding under there all along! She was such a lovely girl to groom and looked very pleased with her transformation.
