The biggest project I’ve ever taken on. 🌳

It’s strange to think that this has been over a year in the making.

Not a year of knowing exactly what I was creating, but a year of ideas, research, learning, samples, changes, setbacks and a lot of figuring things out as I went.

I knew I wanted to take Willowtree somewhere bigger. I wanted to create something that felt like a real step forward for the brand, but I also knew I didn’t want to rush it just for the sake of getting there.
And I definitely underestimated just how much would go into it. 😂

There have been samples that weren’t right, details changed more times than I can count, decisions I’ve completely overthought, money I’ve been terrified to invest and countless hours spent working on things that nobody else will probably ever notice.
But every little decision has mattered to me.

Because Willowtree is still just me. There isn’t a big team behind the scenes making all of this happen. Just one girl, one very nosey Dalmatian, and an idea that I’ve refused to give up on. 🤎

This is the biggest leap I’ve taken with Willowtree so far, and as scary as that feels, I’m so proud of what it’s becoming.

I’m not quite ready to show you yet.

But soon, I’ll finally get to share the thing I’ve poured more into than anything I’ve created before.

And I really hope it’ll have been worth the wait. 🌿

Willowtree wasn’t built from a trend, or from wanting to create another dog accessory brand. 🌿

It came from a time in my life when I learnt just how powerful the smallest moments can be.

When life felt heavy, my escape became nature. And that didn’t always mean big adventures or miles of countryside. Sometimes it was simply sitting beneath a tree around the corner from home, listening to the birds and the leaves moving in the wind, with Willow beside me.

I think that taught me something I still carry with me now…

Adventure doesn’t have to be extraordinary to mean something.

Sometimes getting outside, slowing down and noticing what’s around you is enough.

That feeling of peace became part of Willowtree without me even realising it. It’s why nature, adventure and our dogs are woven so deeply into what we create. 🤎

Willowtree was built from a real moment of peace — and I hope, in some small way, the pieces I create become part of those moments for you too. 🌿

It’s definitely not all glitz and glamour behind a small business 🤎

And I want to be completely transparent about that.
You’ll often hear small business owners talk about late nights packing orders and struggling to keep up with demand… but that isn’t my reality right now.

My late nights are usually spent thinking about how I can reach more people.

Planning content. Coming up with new ideas. Questioning whether I’m doing enough. Researching. Designing. Trying to understand what works, what doesn’t, and what I could do differently.

The truth is, Willowtree doesn’t get hundreds of orders. Most weeks are incredibly quiet. Sometimes I’ll put hours into creating something and it barely gets seen.

At this stage, pretty much everything Willowtree makes gets poured straight back into growing the business — whether that’s new stock, packaging, photography, my website, subscriptions, advertising or all the little costs you don’t really think about when you first decide to start a business.

There isn’t anything left over for me yet, and that’s okay — I’m focused on building something for the future.

But I keep going because I genuinely believe in what I’m building.

I have so many ideas for the future of Willowtree. So many things I want to create, improve and eventually make happen.
I’m not sharing this for sympathy, and I never want anyone to feel like they have to buy from me.

I just want to show you the side of running a small business that isn’t always posted online.

Because behind every pretty photo, new product and exciting idea is just me, trying to figure it all out as I go — and hoping that little by little, more of you find us along the way. 🌿🤎

And to those of you who already have? You have no idea how much it means that you’re here.

Willowtree has never just been about selling dog accessories. 🌿

When I started this little business, I wanted to build something people could genuinely trust with their dogs.

A brand where comfort and practicality matter just as much as how something looks. Where different breeds, shapes and sizes are thought about. Where I’m honest about the process, I listen when something could be better, and I never want to release something simply for the sake of having something new to sell.

So much of Willowtree starts with Willow. 🤎

I think about what I would feel comfortable putting on her, what would work for our everyday adventures, and ultimately, what I would expect from a brand I was spending my own money with.

And that’s what I want Willowtree to become for you.

A brand you can come back to knowing there’s genuine thought and care behind what you’re buying — from the first idea to the parcel arriving at your door.

There’s still so much I want to build, learn and improve along the way, but the goal will always stay the same:

To build a brand you can trust, love and grow with.🤎

The reason Willowtree exists has four paws and a whole lot of spots. 🤎🌿

Meet Willow — my inspiration, product tester, adventure buddy and the girl behind it all.

From trying to keep up with how quickly she grew as a puppy, to struggling to find accessories I truly loved for her, Willow unknowingly planted the very first seed for Willowtree.

Now, everything I create has to pass the Willow test — comfort, practicality and whether it can keep up with wherever our next adventure takes us. 🐾

She’s silly, stubborn, incredibly nosey, a complete princess and the biggest personality.

Willowtree may be my business, but this will always be her story too. 🤎

There’s a lot more behind Willowtree than what makes it onto Instagram 🌿

Most of the time, you see the finished product — the photos, the packaging, the posts and all the pretty little details.

What you don’t always see is everything happening behind it.

The learning as I go, the ideas scribbled down at random times, the things that don’t quite go to plan, the little wins that feel HUGE, and one very spotty girl who started this whole thing in the first place. 🤎

Willowtree is still growing, changing and finding its feet — and I think that’s one of my favourite parts of sharing this journey with you.
