October is National Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, and our Group Support Manager, Beth Heaney, is taking on an incredible challenge to raise money for Refuge.
Beth has worked in the veterinary profession for over 20 years, from nursing small animals, equine and farm patients, to leading teams across St Kitts Vets. Although she mostly works behind the scenes, her dedication to animal care and to the people around her shines through in everything she does.
This October, Beth is walking 62 miles to support Refuge, a charity that provides life-saving help to thousands of women and children experiencing domestic abuse. This cause is deeply personal to her, and she’s passionate about raising awareness and supporting those facing the most dangerous moments when leaving abusive situations.
So far, Beth has walked 13.96 miles and raised £290, already surpassing her original goal. She’s now hoping to reach £500 by 31st October.
