My name is Amanda Harris, I have been running Humber Hounds Doggy Day Care since December 2020 I previously ran a successful day care in Oxfordshire for 12 years. I am fully insured, canine first aid trained and hold a License with North Lincolnshire Council (License number AA37063. I have never known life without a dog and over the years have been very blessed with some wonderful four legged fri
ends. We have been successful within the show ring, lightly competed in obedience and have gained up to gold level in the Kennel Clubs good citizen scheme. I have also competed up to grade 5 in agility and tried my hand at Cani-cross. I am married to Mick who is ex RAF. Mick enjoys art and aims to work alongside me and build up his art portfolio by painting pet portraits. We have a daughter who is based in Oxfordshire and works in a dispensary at a referral veterinary centre. And Ben who is our 15 year old son. Ben is very much involved with our own dogs and has successfully competed in agility, obedience and the show ring up to championship level including Crufts. Our aim is that we will only take a limited number of dogs in each day so we are able to offer a quality service and treat each dog as our own. We have 2 dog rooms converted within our triple garage. The rooms are fitted out like a kitchen and have sofas to make the dogs feel at home. I have a camera fitted so can keep an eye on the dogs if I am walking others this allows me to pick up if there is any signs of anxiety, changes in behaviour etc. Each dog will have numerous walks throughout the day within our extended grounds, plus have free run of the garden when under supervision. We also have an enclosed paddock so even dogs without a reliable recall can have a good run around either on a 1-1 or with their friends.
