Barton Veterinary Centre We have a team of devoted nurses caring for our in- patients who have many years of experience across a broad range of species.

We understand it can be a stressful time when your pets fall ill, that is why we try to do everything in our power to make you and your pet feel reassured.The care and comfort of our patients is as important to us as their medical treatment. With huge amounts of compassion and consideration our veterinary nurses strive to provide the best care possible. All of our qualified nurses are trained to a high standard and are registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

This gorgeous little puppy came in for his vaccination and microchip, and of course, he had to make time for plenty of cuddles while he was here! 🥰🐶

Lovely Max came in with a swelling on his paw, so we’ve been investigating to find out exactly what’s causing it. 🐾🔍

Max has now undergone further investigations and is currently receiving treatment while we work towards understanding the cause of the swelling.

He’s been such a brave boy throughout it all! 🥰🐶💙

We’ll be keeping a close eye on him and hoping to see some positive progress soon. 🤞🐾

Did you know… Dogs have an incredible sense of smell — they can have up to 300 million scent receptors in their noses, compared with around 6 million in humans! 👃🐕

🐾💙 Little Cooper’s update 💙🐾

Cooper came in to have his booster vaccination and his lump checked with vet Alex recently.

Cooper initially came to us with a large abscess, which has taken around 12 weeks to get to the point it is now — and thankfully, it’s nearly completely resolved! 🎉🐶

He’s been such a brave boy throughout his treatment, and we’re so pleased with how well he’s doing. 💙

Well done, little Cooper!

💗 Our Sweet Little Visitor 💗

This very sweet and loving little girl came in for her final check-up with nurse Amy following her spay and has recovered really well! 🥰

Of course, she had to make sure she said hello to everyone while she was here and enjoyed plenty of fuss along the way! 💕

She’s now been given the all-clear and can’t wait to get back to enjoying her walks with her Mum 🐶🌿
