To our local dairy farmers,

At Moorland Vets, we’ve been growing our dedicated farm veterinary service, and we’d love to introduce ourselves to more of our local dairy farming community.

We understand that dairy margins are incredibly tight at the moment, so we want to offer something practical that could make a real difference to your herd’s performance and profitability.

As a starting point, we’re offering:

* A free milk quality audit – including somatic cell count (SCC) data, to help identify potential problem areas and highlight opportunities for quick wins in herd health, milk quality and performance.
* 50% off your first three routine herd health visits – giving you the opportunity to experience our approach and see how we could support your farm, with minimal upfront commitment.

There’s absolutely no obligation, pressure or hard sell. Whether you’d like a friendly chat about your herd, or simply a welcome pack to find out a little more about our services, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

If you’re interested in finding out more, give our farm team a call on 01598 710575 or drop us a message on our mobile 07498 326 939 📱

We look forward to meeting you and supporting the local dairy farming community.

🐾 FOUND CAT – PLEASE SHARE 🐾

A ginger and white entire male cat was handed into our vet practice with no microchip. Sadly, despite arriving into our care, he has since passed away. 💔

We would really like to find his owner so they can be informed. If you recognise him or know who he may belong to, please get in touch with us.

Please share to help us reach his family. ❤️🐾

🐄 FARMERS - HAVE YOU COMPARED YOUR VET COSTS LATELY? 🐑

We might be the new kids on the block when it comes to farm animal services, but at Moorland Vets we’re serious about giving local farms a great service at a seriously competitive price.
From farm visits and vet time to medications and pre-movement testing (and trust us, our pre-movement testing prices are well worth asking about 👀), we’ve worked hard to keep our pricing competitive and straightforward.
So, why not give us a call and compare our prices with what you’re currently paying?
Worst case? You’ve spent five minutes on the phone. Best case? You might wonder why you didn’t call us sooner. 😉

And it’s not just about price...
Behind those prices is a fantastic farm team who want to get to know you, your animals and your business. Whether things are running like clockwork or it’s one of those days on the farm, we’ll be there with practical advice, veterinary support and a friendly voice at the end of the phone.
If you’re looking for a farm vet, considering a change, or simply curious to see how our prices stack up, give Moorland Vets a call.
The only thing you might have to lose is some of your current vet bill. 😉

☎️ Call the Moorland Vets team on 01598 710575 and put us to the test!

🐑🐄 AUTUMN CHECK: WORMS, FECs & TRACE ELEMENTS
As we head into autumn, it’s a good time to review your parasite-control and trace-element plans for cattle and sheep.

🔬 Start with FECs
Faecal Egg Counts (FECs) can help assess worm burdens and guide treatment decisions — so you can treat when needed rather than worming unnecessarily.

💊 Use wormers responsibly
Choosing the right product, dosing accurately and treating appropriately can help maintain effective worm control while reducing the risk of wormer resistance.
We support the principles of SCOPS for sheep and COWS for cattle, encouraging sustainable, responsible parasite control.

🌱 Don’t forget trace elements
Requirements can vary between farms, grazing systems and livestock. Testing can help identify whether supplementation is needed and ensure it is targeted appropriately.

🐑🐄 How Moorland Vets can help...

We can provide:
• Faecal Egg Counts and advice on the results
• Worming and parasite-control advice
• A wide range of parasite-control products at competitive prices
• Trace-element testing and supplementation advice

📞 Give the Moorland Vets team a call to discuss your livestock, products and prices.

☎️ 01598 710575

Test. Target. Treat responsibly.
