If you are looking at booking holidays for next August (2027). Just a reminder we will be closing our doors for a summer break ourselves.
We will close 6pm on the 20th of August and re-open 8am on the 29th of August.

🤦🏼‍♀️. Again the Road just above the Hunters Inn will be closed Monday to Wednesday this week.
Due to start work early tomorrow morning, you may be able to get through if you come through early.
You can still access us from Torrington side and from the A377.

Tomorrow- Monday 13th of July
Please note the side road as you turn off at Newton Tracey is closing for a few hours tomorrow between 9.30 and 3.30.
My advice would be get to us early, we open at 8am and then wait till after 4pm to come to us in the afternoon. 🤞🏻 that should work

The road between Roundswell and us is now closed 24/7.

Thanks to the lovely Nicky at the Hunters here is some detail on the road closure.

Update: apparently the road is still closed and I can't get hold of the lady at Devon Council who said she would update me today 😡 It would appear that the road could be closed all day which is very annoying when I got the information direct from the council. Hopefully i will get through and can update soon 🤞

Good morning, there is a road closure at St Johns Chapel. I spoke to a lady at Devon Council last week and this is what is supposed to be happening. The road is closed today 9.30am- 1.30pm whilst they assess the road and mark out the areas to be repaired. It should then be open again and closing again from tomorrow morning for up to 4 days, although once the assessment has been carried out we should have more information regarding the duration of the work and whether or not the road will be open in the evenings. I am speaking to the council later today and will update as soon as I have more information. Please note that I am several miles away from this road closure so I am unable to be as reactive to what is happening compared to when it is the road outside the pub 😀
