Who was the Kong smuggler?! 👀😂

We had so much fun today finding out!

Some brilliant people searches, some very suspicious individuals 😂 and some absolutely super dogs working out who was hiding the Kong.

And yes… we found the culprit! 🕵️‍♀️🐾

I love doing searches like this. It’s such a fun way to challenge the dogs, watch them problem solve and see just how incredible their noses really are.

Thank you to everyone who came along and embraced being sniffed by dogs in the name of scentwork 😂

Definitely one to do again!

I am looking for someone to do drop ins and possibly walks for Toro, Luna and Layla for when I am away training with the other dogs.

Initially for a week in October although I will need other dates going forwards.

The dogs would need to be walked without others although can manage without walks if needed.

Well… we did it! My first Mock Trial today and what a lovely day it was. 🐾

It was great to introduce more teams to Detection Dog Trials, put everything we’ve been learning into practice and, most importantly, watch some brilliant dog and handler teams working their way through the searches.

A special thank you to Emily from Me And My Dog Academy and Sandy Gliddon Cook, who I rather unceremoniously threw in at the deep end! 😂 They stepped up and did loads of judging for me and were absolutely brilliant.

Thank you as well to everyone who came along, joined in, asked questions, supported each other and generally made it such an enjoyable day. There were some fantastic searches and lots to celebrate.

Oh, and there was cake!

And now I REALLY can’t wait to get started with the real thing…
