Every dog that walks through my door is different.

Some arrive bursting with confidence, tails wagging as though they’ve lived here forever. Others need a little more time. They watch, they quietly take everything in, and they look to me for reassurance.

Those are the moments I love most.

Building trust isn’t something that happens by accident. It comes from patience, understanding, consistency and genuine affection. I spend time getting to know every dog’s little quirks, what makes them feel safe, what excites them, when they need space and when they simply need a cuddle.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing that transformation. A worried little face gradually softens, tails begin to wag, confidence grows, and before long they’re charging around the garden as though they own the place. Seeing that change never gets old.

People sometimes say, “I’ll just ask a friend or family member to look after them.” And for many dogs, that can work perfectly well.

But professional home day care is about so much more than simply having someone there.

It’s about knowing your dog is being supervised, understood and cared for every moment they’re with me. It’s about reading their body language, recognising when they’re feeling overwhelmed, making sure they’re safe around other dogs, providing enrichment, keeping routines consistent, giving them the right amount of exercise, rest, affection and attention throughout the day.

It’s knowing that your dog isn’t just being watched… they’re being genuinely cared for.

The families who trust me with their dogs aren’t simply paying for day care. They’re investing in complete peace of mind, knowing their best friend is happy, secure, understood and loved as if they were one of my own.

And for me, that’s exactly how it should be. ❤️

I adore ‘Buddy’ I honestly don’t want him to go home today. I already have a ‘Buddy’ in my world but if I could have another one it would be this handsome sweet, sweet guy. Welcoming ‘Cooper’. I’m so excited to welcome Cooper into our club. Even more so that I will be able to witness his little personality really shining through. ⭐️He’s only 5 months old at the moment so he’s just finding his lovely way in life, full of puppy energy and exploring new things. Playing with all the toys and going on big adventures through the woods. We’ve been a little quiet on here lately, but we’ve been busy making memories.

This was taken on one of our adventures at Mam Tor. I love getting the dogs out to explore new places, where they can sniff, wander and just enjoy being dogs.

At The Little Happy Pup Club, I keep things small so every dog gets plenty of attention, affection and exercise. They’re welcomed into our home as part of the family, whether they’re staying for the day or enjoying a little holiday while you’re away. We pack up a doggy picnic and off we go! 😊
