🏡 Happy Adoption Day, Leo & Jasper! 🖤🖤

After what feels like such a long wait, Leo and Jasper have finally found their forever home with the lovely Alice and Jacob—and I couldn’t be happier for my beautiful boys! 🥹

I’ve had them since they were just one day old, and now, at 18 weeks old, it was finally time to watch them leave for their new life together.

It was so lovely to see them go, knowing they have the home they deserve, but it was also incredibly upsetting. I’ve grown so fond of them after raising them from such tiny babies, and I’m really going to miss their cuddles and gorgeous little personalities.

But this is what it’s all about, and I know it’s the very best thing for them. Be happy in your forever home, beautiful boys—you’ve certainly left two big paw prints on my heart. 🐾❤️

🐾 MOLE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🐾

A little update on lovely Mole… ❤️

Mole was taken in by Jessica, an independent rescuer who does so much to help cats and kittens that are desperately in need, and then works hard to find them the right rescue space or home.

Mole had originally been described as feral and was going to go to a feral placement… but once Jessica had him, it soon became very clear that he wasn’t feral at all. 🥹 He was actually a friendly boy who just needed somebody to give him a chance.

So I said I would help Jessica find him the right home… and once again, you lovely lot came through. ❤️

I’m so happy to say that Mole was adopted last week and has now gone off to his lovely new home with Adele. 🏡🐾

Such a different ending for a boy who could so easily have ended up in completely the wrong environment.

A huge thank you to Jessica for stepping in and helping him in the first place, and to everyone who shared and helped get him seen. ❤️

Have the happiest life, Mole. You deserve it. 🐾

If you would still like to adopt, you can go through the homecheck stage now and, once approved, be kept on file until a kitten or cat comes up that you would like to put in to adopt.

You don’t have to wait until you see a specific kitten or cat before doing your homecheck.

That way, when the right one comes along, your homecheck is already done and you’re ready to move on to the next stage of the adoption process. 🐱❤️

❤️ A very special thank you to Eden and Annie ❤️

I really wanted to do a separate post for Eden and Annie, because what they have done for Millie and her five Stranger Things babies deserves its own mention. 🥹🐾

When Eden first took Millie in, she didn’t have loads of experience with looking after a pregnant mum cat or raising tiny kittens. She had contacted quite a few rescues for help, but unfortunately nobody had the space to take Millie and her babies on.

The thing is, Eden wasn’t asking somebody else to do everything for her. She was more than willing to care for Millie herself. What she really needed was a little bit of guidance, a bit of help, some moral support and somebody at the other end of the phone if she was ever worried or unsure about anything.

She also just needed the reassurance that if Millie or any of the babies needed veterinary treatment, they could get that care and it would be covered by the rescue.

Eden contacted me, and I was more than happy for her to foster Millie and her babies on behalf of Yorkshire Rose Cat Rescue. She agreed to keep them safe and cared for until the kittens were eight weeks old, and I kept rescue space available for the five babies for when they were old enough to come in.

And she has done an absolutely fantastic job. ❤️

She gave Millie somewhere safe and warm to have her babies. She helped her raise all five of them, kept them fed, loved and protected, and gave them the start in life they deserved.

If it wasn’t for Eden and Annie, Millie could have ended up giving birth to those babies outside. There’s no knowing how many of them would have survived, what Millie would have gone through trying to keep them all safe, or how quickly she could have ended up pregnant again afterwards.

Instead, Millie got to raise her babies in a home where she was loved and looked after every single day. ❤️

Sometimes people don’t need somebody to take everything away from them or do it all for them. Sometimes they just need somebody to say:

“You can do this, and I’m here if you need me.”

Eden did the rest. 🥹❤️

A huge, huge thank you to Eden and Annie for everything you have done for this little family.

You stepped up when Millie needed somebody, you gave her and her five babies a completely different future, and you should both be incredibly proud of what you’ve done. 🌹🐾❤️

🌸 No more babies for our lovely Millie 🌸

This gorgeous girl is Millie, mum to my five little Stranger Things babies. ❤️

Today she’s been in for her spay, which means no more pregnancies and no more babies for Millie. 🥹

No more having to find somewhere safe to give birth.

No more trying to protect and feed a litter of kittens.

No more males pestering her or fighting them off.

No more going through pregnancy after pregnancy.

From now on, Millie’s only job is to enjoy being a cat. 🐾❤️ Lots of food, lots of love, warm comfy beds and the happy, healthy life she deserves.

She’s done her job raising her five babies… now it’s finally Millie’s turn to be looked after. 🥰

THIS is what supporting local rescues looks like 🥹❤️🐾

A massive THANK YOU to Yorkshire Pawz and to every single person who supports their fundraising, shares their posts, donates, takes part and helps them keep doing what they do.

Yorkshire Rose Cat Rescue has been lucky enough to receive support towards a cat shelter and vet bills, alongside so many other amazing local rescues, trappers and people helping cats across Yorkshire. 🐱🌹

When you’re a small rescue, every bit of help makes such a difference. Vet bills never stop, cats keep needing help, and sometimes it can feel never-ending — so having people and organisations behind you means more than you probably realise.

That’s probably one of the hardest parts of rescue.

There will always be another cat needing somewhere safe.
Another kitten found alone.
Another pregnant mum trying to survive outside.
Another friendly stray that just needs somebody to give them a chance.

I can’t take them all in myself… but that doesn’t always mean I can’t help. ❤️

If you find a stray kitten or cat, a pregnant mum-to-be, or a friendly male or female and you’re willing to keep them with you and foster them, please get in touch.

You don’t have to suddenly know what you’re doing and you don’t have to do it alone.

I can offer help and guidance along the way, help with rehoming them when they’re ready, and if you need food or supplies, I can help with those too. 🐾

Sometimes all that’s needed is one person willing to say:

“They can stay with me for now.”

That one little bit of kindness can be the reason I’m able to help instead of having to say no.

I can’t save them all.
You can’t take them all in.

But if we each do what we can, when we can, we can still change so many little lives. 🌹❤️

You don’t have to rescue them alone. Sometimes you just need a little help along the way.

🖤🤍 AND AGAIN… THE BLACK & WHITE KITTENS GET OVERLOOKED 🤍🖤

I genuinely don’t understand it.

Tom, Jerry AND Winnie are STILL available… and they are honestly some of the MOST AFFECTIONATE KITTENS EVER. 😭❤️

I really do think people scroll straight past black and white kittens because they don’t have the unusual colours or markings that instantly grab attention.

But these three?

Their personalities are EVERYTHING.

🖤 Tom & Jerry are absolute little love bugs. They want cuddles, strokes, attention and to be as close to you as physically possible. 😂❤️ They are completely bonded, do everything together and are looking for their forever home together.

🤍 Winnie is just as deserving of that chance. She is black and white too, and once she feels comfortable she is such a loving little girl with so much affection to give.

None of them should be overlooked because of their colouring.

They might be “just black and white” to someone scrolling past…

…but to the right people, they are going to be the most loving little companions imaginable. 🥹❤️

Honestly, meet them and I think you’d understand immediately why I keep saying it…

MOST. AFFECTIONATE. KITTENS. EVER. 😂🖤🤍

Please give the black and white babies a chance.
