🌹🐾 Mum Cat Update 🐾🌹

This beautiful girl is mum to Kiki, Finlay, Bonnie and Buttons. ❤️

When she first came into rescue, the plan was always for her to return to her feeder once her kittens were old enough, as she is what we'd class as semi-feral.

She's now been with me for several weeks, has raised her babies beautifully and has since been spayed. However, despite having all the comforts of home life, she's made it very clear that it's not the life she wants.

She absolutely adores her kittens and gets on wonderfully with other cats, but she remains very wary of people and prefers to keep her distance. While she'll happily accept a Lick-e-Lix, she's not interested in human affection and is much happier doing things on her own terms.

Because of this, she will not be available for adoption, and the plan is still for her to return to the person who has cared for and fed her outdoors.

Not every cat wants to be a house cat, and that's okay. ❤️

She's been a fantastic mum, and I'm incredibly proud of how well she's cared for her babies. 🐾

A huge thank you to Nah That's Reyt Good for including Yorkshire Rose Cat Rescue in their latest round of donations. ❤️

To be mentioned alongside so many incredible rescues and sanctuaries is truly an honour, and every penny makes a difference to the cats and kittens currently in my care.

The amazing work they do has now seen them donate over £61,000 to animal charities and rescues. 🤯👏

As a small independent rescue, support like this helps me continue providing food, veterinary treatment, vaccinations, neutering, microchipping and everything else our cats need while they wait for their forever homes.

🌹🐾 Does anyone remember Lux? 🐾🌹

Back in the early days of Yorkshire Rose Cat Rescue, Lux was one of our residents looking for his forever home. Well, I think it's safe to say he landed exactly where he was meant to be! ❤️

Just look at him now... supervising the neighbourhood from conservatory roofs, sunbathing in the garden, making friends with every cat within a five-mile radius, and apparently running a free breakfast club for local felines! 😂

His adopters sent me this update today:

"Lux has obviously passed the word that we are open house for all the neighbourhood cats..."

From sharing breakfast with visiting cats, to chatting through windows with his neighbour Casper, and wandering off with his best mate "Chunkey" to watch the world go by, it sounds like Lux has become the unofficial Mayor of Cat Town. 👑🐱

I absolutely love receiving updates like this. Seeing rescue cats not just surviving, but thriving, is what makes all the hard work worthwhile. ❤️

🚨💔 DESPERATE PLEA FOR HELP 💔🚨

I never like having to ask, but Yorkshire Rose Cat Rescue is in desperate need of support.

I currently have an outstanding vet bill of over £1,700, and because of this I have had to make the heartbreaking decision to close to new intakes until the bill is reduced.

Every day I receive messages about cats and kittens needing help, and it breaks my heart knowing I have to say no. Right now, my priority has to be the cats and kittens already in my care.

I am also running dangerously low on:
