We've had a very sad time here 💔

Just over a week ago i lost the 'Mascot' of my business.
Everyone will know Patrick. He was a huge part of our lives and my home run business.
If you didn't see him, you will have certainly heard him 🙈
He liked to make everyone aware he was here!
He's always been here, from the very first day I opened 11.5 years ago. Everyone admired him and always asked how he were and how his shows were going throughout his show career 🥰

Unfortunately he was very poorly and we had to say goodbye.
Our hearts are completely broken and it will take a while for us to adjust.

Please be aware that during this time, I may not be 100% myself, I'm trying my best to continue to work 'normally' but as I do lots of similar breeds, I know it will be hard for a while 😞

Thankyou ✂️🐶🩵

I can't remember the last time I advertised that I have some new client spaces available. It must be years! I'm always booked months in advance, which is a great feeling 🥰

But, due to really sad circumstances 🪽
I now have a couple of regular spaces available to book.
This will be the only time I open them up.
Please message if you have been waiting or are interested.
Be quick 🏃‍♀️💨
***Available from June***

Small/medium size full grooms or bath/de-sheds ONLY and no mobile clients (in salon only) 🐾✂️🩷

If my lovely clients can share for me please🤞🙏

✨ Price increase from April ✨

With the current situation and forever increasing running costs, there will be a small price increase from April.
This will be between £2-£5 depending on your grooms.

As I book appointments I will add this into the messages.
If you are already booked, you are welcome to drop me a message also.

Thankyou as always for all your support.
I try be as fair as possible, but sometimes I'm left with no choice ♥️

I've been super quiet on here for a few months, it's just been super busy and I just don't get time to! I'm either in the grooming room or being a mum!

But I wanted to wish all my wonderful clients a very Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🫶
I hope you've all had the best day celebrating 🍾🥂

I'm off until the 5th January now, once we've got over the next few days I'll start booking the new year appointments. As always, bare with me...remember it's the school holidays too, so I'll be doing as and when I can! Probably when Freddie's in bed! 🫣

Also, a huge huge thankyou to all my lovely clients who gifted us, gave us cards or money. Not just me but thinking of my little family too! It's very well appreciated ❤️

See you all in 2026 🥳

I've not been very active on here recently...I'm just so busy!

But, with the school holidays coming up I thought I would just check in with you all.

As of next Wednesday, it is our school holidays, which means I'll be trying to do full time hours in part time days for 6 weeks! 🫩😴

Be aware that some days I will have my little boy at home, and while he doesn't cause any bother...sometimes it takes me a little longer.

During this time, with being extra busy and most probably back to back with appointments, if you can all be mindful and stick to appointment times..arriving on time and also collecting on time when asked to.
Recently I've had a few not turning up for up to an hour after I've asked for them to collect. This does cause issues as I work on a 1-2-1 basis and cannot take another client in until you have left.
If you are running late for drop off, please contact me and I will make the decision whether we can go ahead still, or if we need to rearrange.

There won't be any 'squeezing in' appointments during this time. It's not doable when I don't have child care.

Thankyou all for understanding and being patient as always 🩷

P.s if I look bedraggled ...just know...I feel it too 🤣🤣
See you on the otherside 👋🥴

‼️ APPOINTMENTS‼️
Now the weather is warming up, I thought it would be good to refresh everyone's memory on the dangers of heatstroke and also my policies during summer months.

Appointments may need to be moved around during hot times in the day...generally afternoon to evening. This isn't to benefit me..this is to prevent your dogs getting heatstroke.
As the sun moves round onto my grooming salon, it becomes increasingly warm..unbearable some days!
And with dryers on etc, I won't put your dogs at risk.
Also, unnecessary car journeys and walking on the hot pavements to me, isn't something I advocate. I keep a very close eye of temperatures in the salon and also outside.

So, be mindful and if I think I need to move your appointment I'll be in touch as and when needed.
I'm always prepared to work unsociable hours/days off to work around you and your dogs (providing I have child care).
HEATSTROKE is a killer, it's something you don't mess about with.
Please keep your dogs cool and hydrated 💧
DO NOT WALK THEM IN THE PRIME TIME OF THE DAY

Thanks

I didn’t know there was anything wrong……..

How often do you visit your vet with your dog – every year for his/her booster jab?

Your dog visits the groomer every 6 to 8 weeks for a bath, trim, and tidy.
But sometimes, they leave with something even more important than a fresh look-a warning sign you didn’t know was there.

Dog groomers aren’t vets, and they don’t pretend to be.
But they’re often the first person to notice when something’s not quite right.
A lump under the skin.
A sore spot under the leg.
A red rash behind the ears.
An ear infection that smells off.
A cracked pad. A bald patch. A behavioural change.

They work so closely with your dog-physically and emotionally-that they often spot small but important changes. The ones that can be easy to miss at home, especially on long or thick coats. And because they see your dog regularly, they know what’s normal and what’s not.

These aren’t just observations - they could be early signs of:
• Skin infections
• Ear mites or yeast infections
• Growths that need checking
• Eye problems
• Tooth or gum issues
• Joint stiffness or discomfort
• Stress or anxiety

And when a groomer mentions something they’ve noticed, it’s not to scare you.
It’s because they care. They want your dog to be happy, healthy, and comfortable-long after they’ve left the salon.
That’s what makes a good groomer more than a stylist. They’re part of your dog’s care team.

They clean. They clip. They calm nervous dogs. And they keep watch over every inch of your dog’s body and behaviour-every time they visit.

Professional groomers take their responsibilities seriously. Many are trained to recognised industry standards, hold Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications, and are members of the British Dog Groomers' Association (BDGA) - a division of the Pet Industry Federation (PIF).

That means they don’t just work with love and care-they work with knowledge. And they commit to professional development, safe practices, and doing what’s best for every dog in their care.

So the next time your groomer quietly mentions something they’ve noticed - listen. It could be nothing. But it could also be the early warning that helps you take action before a small issue becomes a big one.
Your dog can’t always tell you when something’s wrong.
But your groomer might.

And never forget-they’re doing far more than making your dog look good.

Please remember not to bake your dogs as the days warm up!! It's THAT serious.

Happy 10th business Anniversary to me! 🥳🍾

I can't quite believe it's been this long. Seems like yesterday I left my veterinary nursing job to spread my wings and become self employed.
Quite possibly the best decision I've ever made.

But it wouldn't have been possible without every single client that's trusted me with their beloved animals.
From grooming, to dog walking, to pet sitting. Every single person who let me look after their animals in any way.
I'm pro-dominantly grooming these days but I've loved every minute of everything I've done, albeit hard at times!

It's the best feeling in the world, being fully booked months in advance, seeing 'mostly' the same clients week in week out...I'm beyond grateful...and it's even more crazy that around 70% of clients have been here the whole 10 years or a good part of it! 😱

I'm so very thankful for everyone standing by me, who continues to come through my doors (old and new), who recommends me constantly, who treats me as a human being/ friend rather than just a service, who are understanding, who have kept my little business going through my maternity, COVID 19, my health battles and more recently my poorly dogs (who I'm off with at this moment in time!)
You are all just amazing people and this wouldn't be possible without you all being so loyal to me.

So, from the bottom of my heart...even through the stress of rearranging appointments this last couple of weeks...I thank you all 🙏 💗

Now lets continue this crazy little dog grooming life in the best way I can 🥰

Just a little thankyou to the clients I've had booked in this last week, it's been a rough first week back after Christmas with the snow/ice..frozen water pipes and school closures!

Thankyou for being flexible and super understanding and patient
It really means a lot ❤️

With having to rearrange appointments I've fallen a little behind with contacting those who still need appointments.
If you are waiting, please drop me a txt and I can pick it up this week.
I'll be back on track soon! 🤞

Here's to Spring 🌞🌼🌸🐣🐰
