Meet Barney 🐾💙
Barney’s previous groomer felt it was best to stop grooming him because he was reactive during his grooms. His owner was completely honest with me about his behaviour when she contacted me, but I decided to give him a chance.
With a little time, patience and a calm one-to-one environment, we managed to get through his groom today. 🥰
He’s far from perfect, and there’s still plenty for us to work on, but he’s clean, tidy and, most importantly, he’s had a positive experience. ❤️
When it comes to reactive or anxious dogs, it’s not always about achieving the perfect finished groom. Sometimes it’s about taking a step back, working at their pace and showing them that grooming doesn’t have to be something scary.
A little patience can go a very long way. 🐶✂️❤️
