Pony introduction

Wrentnall lullaby (twinkle)

Now to those who know us know this living angel needs no introduction!

Twinkle is our 20 (yes 20) year old section a mare. Twinkle has taught many children how to ride and is loved by all. She is now adored by my 8 yo sister Charlotte and despite her age she shows no signs of slowing down (she comes out hacking with tomos for a canter and wilfully tries to overtake him🤣)

Twinkle has competed up and down the country and has dipped her toes in pretty much everything. She always gives her all no matter what.

Now Charlotte is coming out of her lead rein classes I’m hoping to get her out to some veteran in hand classes because although she can be an amazing lead rein pony gosh does she love to ping round that ring ❤️

Pony introduction

Cwmrhymni tomos

Tomos is my 14.1 5 year old Welsh section d gelding 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿who I’ve had since 11 months old.
He’s bred by cwmrhymni Welsh cobs (horeb faith x geler Ryan)

This boy is my absolute pride and joy. His love for learning and his cheeky personality are the perfect balance making him a dream to work with. He is Ridden and produced by myself.

Tomos has done just 5 shows under saddle so hopefully we will see more of the circuit this year 🤞🏼he was briefly introduced to jumping last year so maybe some workers could be on the cards later down the line for us ❤️

Horse introduction

Slievenamoney lady (penny)

Penny is our grey maxi cob bred by AM and PM Irish bred youngstock. She is owned by Lacey Higgs and ridden by myself.

Penny is rising 6 this year and had a steady season last year gaining 2 ri qualifications in the open and amateur heavyweight cob classes however unfortunately measured out. Hopefully this year we can try again for the maxi cobs.

We have owned her since being a rising 2yo and she’s been an absolute pleasure in every way. She so laid back, infact if she was any more laid back she’d be sat down🤣 we never thought she’d have the effort to leave the ground however she absolutely loves popping a few logs. I’ve added some baby photos of her (you really wouldn’t believe it’s the same horse 🫣)

As the season draws closer, the lighter nights are slowly but surely arriving and our show prep is starting to make an appearance it’s only right I end my hiatus and get back into posting on here.

Over the next few days I’ll post a small introduction to a couple of our ponies and a recap of our 2024 season but for now here’s a photo of last years gys team 🫶🏼

Well what a long but amazing day! We’ve been hit with every weather going but we have all come away with big smiles!

Khalusta dolly day dream ✨dreamer✨(yes that’s right! Guess who’s back. Back again😉🤣)
After 8 years off being ‘retired’ and a baby momma she’s stepped back into the ring today as if she’s never missed a season. I cannot put into words how happy it makes me to be able to get her back doing what she loves! A very respectable 3rd and 2nd in her classes today so couldn’t be more proud 🫶🏼

Wrentnall lullaby ✨twinkle✨
Well what can I say other than this pony is just amazing! 19 and still strutting her stuff. Charlotte decided she wanted to do an inhand today so off she went and not only pulled first but she pulled reserve champion too!! Then on to her ridden she went to get a further 2 firsts and a second.

Cwmrhymni tomos ✨Tom✨
Well this boy improves on every outing! After going amazing in his first class but just not within the judge’s preference (however she did go on to say that I’ve done an amazing job breaking him in as he’s going perfectly for a 4yo so a little pat on the back moment 🥰)
Then to go onto get a second in his m&m large breed class under a different judge who said it was a very difficult decision between us and the top ❤️ he’s just my perfect little boy and no matter what I will always be taking home the best little man ❤️

Hopefully professional photos to follow 🫶🏼

Can’t believe how late I am to post this 🫣 after posting it on my personal page it mayyy have slipped my mind to post on here. But anyway here it is here is the Full Midland Counties Show report. It’s a long one so grab a cuppa and go for a ti**le first 🤣

Slievenamoney lady (penny)
Well Lacey Higgs your Irish girl has done it again. This mare is truly one in a million. We started in a very strong amateur cob class pulling a very respectable 5th against some quality company, and then a last minute entry to put her into the open heavyweight class and she went absolutely beautiful, pulling up second and getting her second golden ticket of the season, so After qualifying for the rihs at her first ever qualifying show she’s gone and qualified again at just her second qualifier. I don’t quite have the words to put together on how proud I am of her.

Cwmrhymni tomos (Tom)
My absolute pride and joy. My little spicy Welsh baby 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
So after living out since September last year he’s had the winter to mature and be a horse. At first we didn’t know how it would go bringing him back into work especially with no arena and no close by bridleways but oh my goodness what a dream boat he has been, he has his little moments here and there but that’s what gives him so much character 🫶🏼 so for him to look and go like this with no stable, no running water and no arena it just makes me so so excited on what is to come.
Just one class for him today as it’s his first outing since the beginning of September so we took him into the pretty Polly home produced m&m and all I can say is WOW!!
He gave me the most amazing go round and individual I couldn’t have asked for any more of him just a little impatient with standing but we’re still working on that. Some lovely comments off of the judge who said he gave her the best show but it was just the standing that unfortunately dropped him down.

I am so unbelievably proud of both of these ponies this weekend they make all the mud, drenched clothes and bruises worth it.
I never say it as I always feel like I’m coming across vain but I’m so proud of how I’ve got them looking and how I’ve got them going with no facilities at all and it only being my third show of the year.

Midland counties 2024 over and out ✌🏼you’ve been amazing ❤️

Well we are back and settled after a lovely day at the BSPS Area 3b white rose show today. What started as a experience show turned out to be a day jam packed with happiness and memories to last a life time !

Sleivenamoney Lady (Penny) our lucky Irish lady 🍀 this mare takes everything in stride and just keeps on giving. We pulled very respectably in both of our classes today and I couldn’t have asked for any more from her. With just a couple of miscommunications due to her still being green and us being a very new combination she was on top form and we went on to qualify for the amateur heavyweights at the Royal International Horse Show.

After many tears and many ‘what the hell has just happened’ moments I still don’t think it’s all quite sunk in. For a home produced family show team that started from the very bottom many moons ago when I was still tootling around on the lead rein this is what dreams are made of and we can only go up from here.

Thank you to everyone that has supported us so far along the way. Hopefully many more happy posts to share along the way.

Professional photos to follow once they are online 🫶🏼
