🎪 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝐮𝐩, 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝐮𝐩… 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬! 🎪

Here's a little look at what we got up to at our last Circus-themed Trick Class! 🎩🐰✨

From blowing kisses to the audience and fetching the magician's wand, to pulling rabbits out of hats and performing some impressive acrobatics — our dogs and their humans had lots of fun learning something a little different.

Trick training isn't just about showing off (although that's fun too! 😂).

It's a brilliant way to:

🐾 Provide mental stimulation
🐾 Build your dog's confidence
🐾 Develop your training skills
🐾 Strengthen the relationship between you and your dog
🐾 And, most importantly, have fun together!

Our next monthly Trick Class is Saturday 12th September, and we still have a few places available.

One of the misconceptions I hear quite often is that training classes are something you do when your dog is a puppy.

But what if your dog didn't go to puppy class?

Perhaps you adopted them when they were older. Maybe life simply got in the way when they were little. Or perhaps you've reached adolescence and suddenly realised there are a few gaps in those foundations!

That's exactly why we introduced our 𝟒-𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞.

It's designed for older puppies and adult dogs 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠.

We'll work on useful everyday skills, but training isn't simply about teaching behaviours.

It's also about helping you understand the dog at the other end of the lead and building better communication between you.

Keeping your dog’s nails trimmed to the correct length is about far more than appearance. When nails become too long, they can:

• Alter the way a dog stands and moves
• Put extra pressure on joints and paws
• Contribute to discomfort, changes in gait, or reluctance to exercise
• Increase the risk of nails catching, splitting, or breaking

Over time, consistently long nails can even affect posture, particularly in older dogs or those with existing mobility issues.
