At Outward-Hound, training is not just about training your dog to โ€˜stayโ€™ (although we do teach that!), I am passionate about helping owners get the best from their dog. The classes are fun and informative, including essential life skills. You have the option to take part in the Kennel Club Good Citizen scheme as well as the APDT Good Companion awards. A huge well done to Otto for completing his ๐Ÿ”-๐–๐ž๐ž๐ค ๐Ž๐ง๐ž-๐ญ๐จ-๐Ž๐ง๐ž ๐‹๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž ๐’๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž.

At just 9 months old, Otto is right in the middle of adolescence โ€“ a stage that can often leave owners feeling as though their dog has suddenly forgotten everything they've ever learned!

Otto's owners got in touch for help with his general behaviour and to give him the skills he needs to navigate this important stage of development.

Because Otto is a super-social Chocolate Labrador who loves other dogs, a group class environment wasn't the best fit for him right now. Instead, we worked through a structured six-week programme tailored to his individual needs, allowing him to learn important life skills without the added challenge of canine distractions.

Over the six weeks, Otto and his owners have worked hard to build the foundations for calm, confident behaviour and create skills that can be taken out into everyday life.

Adolescence can be a challenging time, but with the right support, guidance and consistency, it can also be a fantastic opportunity to strengthen your relationship with your dog.

I'm incredibly proud of the progress Otto has made and can't wait to see how he continues to develop over the coming months.

Panda is a Bordoodle โ€” a Border Collie x Poodle cross โ€” and the latest addition to the Outward-Hound Dog Walking family.

Heโ€™s already settling in brilliantly and enjoying getting out and about, exploring new environments, and building relationships with Hayley. ๐Ÿ’œ

Toby is the latest puppy to join the Outward-Hound Dog Walking family!

At just 17 weeks old, heโ€™s not quite ready for big boy walks yet, so his 30-minute puppy visits currently include a mixture of playtime, exploring the garden, short little adventures, plenty of fuss, and of courseโ€ฆ lunch! ๐Ÿ’œ

For young puppies, visits are tailored to their age, confidence, and individual needs. That can mean a combination of gentle exploration, enrichment, companionship, toilet breaks, and helping them gradually experience the world around them at an appropriate pace.

Our puppy visits can help with:
