Well this week has felt a little exhausting๐Ÿ˜‚ heatwaves are always such stress with plans always changing, extra considerations like carrying lots of drinking water!!
But introduced most to the van smoothly now and the air con flows nicely into the back cos that was my main worry ๐Ÿ˜„

Reminder I have some annual leave booked after Wednesday and most likely won't respond to messages (at least not coherently ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅ‚)

Will miss all my little friends while I'm off ๐Ÿพ thank you!!

Never finished a "day's work" so early as I have today ๐Ÿ˜‰ just a quick morning trip to the woods for these two - finished!

Us dog walkers like to joke about the chaos but this is the real goal - calm, happy, established pack with a quick recall.

As another busy week goes by, it's finally time for me to level up โซ๐Ÿคฉ

My electric van will be ready to collect next week!
It's been a tough decision because the dogs like the car and there might be an adjustment period for us all but as my regulars tend to be larger breeds recently and a couple of dogs with health issues/injuries struggling to jump in I'm confident it is the best choice in the long run!

๐Ÿ‘No more crowded clown-car
๐Ÿ‘More room to carry equipment like drinking water and cleaning equipment
๐Ÿ‘Dogs will have their individual safe space for our short journeys
๐Ÿ‘ If one dog rolls in something nasty it's not going to spread onto the others ๐Ÿ˜‚

Same personal touch service, same style of operating just more convenient, more comfortable and more controlled.

It's clear to see the dogs had a fantastic time! ๐Ÿ˜„

Peek of the last couple of weeks ๐Ÿ˜ amazing how quick we go from knee deep mud and raincoats to "is it too warm to walk"

Today marks 1 whole year since I lost my precious little sidekick ๐Ÿ’”
I think of her and miss her every single day.

I don't know if I would have coped with the grief without having so many lovely dogs in my life keeping me going.
I like to imagine she's still there beside us every step of every walk ๐Ÿฅฒ

I wanted to share something important following a recent and very sad incident, where a member of my pack passed away within 3 hours of visiting a well known local tulip festival ๐Ÿ’”

๐ŸŒท Tulips (especially the bulbs) are toxic to dogs if ingested, and whatโ€™s really important to understand is how easily this can happen - particularly in places like tulip fields or large floral events.

Tulip bulbs sit just under the soil and can be very appealing for dogs to sniff (they often have a slightly sweet smell). Even a small amount - whether thatโ€™s chewing a bulb, plant material, or licking contaminated soil from paws - can lead to serious and sometimes life-threatening symptoms.

In large displays, where there are thousands or even millions of bulbs, the risk is much higher due to:
โ€ข disturbed soil from footfall
โ€ข decomposing leaves and flowers
โ€ข exposed or shallow bulbs
โ€ข lots of exciting smells encouraging digging and mouthing

โš ๏ธ Symptoms to watch for:
โ€ข Drooling or foaming at the mouth
โ€ข Vomiting or diarrhoea
โ€ข Lethargy or weakness
โ€ข Loss of coordination / wobbliness
โ€ข Heavy or rapid breathing
โ€ข Sensitivity or unusual behaviour (including agitation or aggression)
โ€ข In more severe cases: tremors, seizures, or collapse

Some symptoms can come on quickly, while others may develop over a few hours.

If you notice any of the above, or suspect your dog may have ingested part of a tulip, seek veterinary advice immediately - itโ€™s always better to act early.

My heart goes out to the family of my pack member, and I hope by sharing this we can help prevent any other dogs from experiencing something similar. This isnโ€™t to cause alarm, but to raise awareness so owners can make informed, safe choices for their dogs ๐Ÿพ

Please feel free to share to help spread awareness ๐ŸคŽ
